morphy4ever: Of course! For example, I've read The Da Vinci Code and, although I thought the basic plot was okay, I didn't think much of the writing.

Eriisa: I missed out on those books somehow. I must correct that in the near future. It's not surprising though - I didn't read Lord of the Rings until I was about 30.

It was a far, far, better thing when I read that. There again, it was the best of times. Or was it the worst of times?

My fav Dickens is 'A Christmas Carol', followed by the 'Pickwick Papers' and 'Oliver Twist'.

Generally I prefer a book over a film anytime.

I didn't realise it was in the dictionary, but it's certainly a word I'm lucky enough to be able to say that I've used a lot to describe books that I've read.
It's quite a common 'word' - in the UK anyway.
