Come on England: Seems to me there should be an annoyance achievement award. Clearly deserved here! And there's a bit of irony in her posted name:Charity. Not so much!
Fencer: That's pretty cool tool! You can even get email reports on site availability.
I know people like Firefox but it runs slow for me (not sure why as I've reformatted) but Chrome is fast. Very fast. So one thing that seems to give me problems (not just on BK) is when I use Firefox. Chrome isn't 100% compatible for use here but it's still very fast for my needs.
coan.net: So when do the vacation days begin to drop off? Say I have vac days set (say 5 days) are they all deducted at once or is there a time frame where one can remove one or two days before you get to those days? (hope that makes sense)
And if I remember correctly, auto vacation is all we'll have with Brainking 3 and in fact is all we need to use as it will do the same thing only automatically. Right?
Are we having a glitch where vacation days aren't being used up? I have an opponent timing out (for several days now) and is on auto vac. But the available days for vacs doesn't change. ;)
If a person were to buy a Black Rook membership under the Red Code, would that give that person two black rook memberships (as in one to give away or whatever?)
MadMonkey: I changed the name of mine to . And then that's all that showed ;) I think I set it to no access or whatever that setting is. You could just change the name to "This board isn't really here."
I used to pay by PayPal all the time. It was fast and easy. So, to test this Alert Pay, I set up an account (took less than ten minutes, picked a pawn from the registry, and sponsored him to see how quickly the transaction would take. It took about 30 seconds. I just checked and he's a bishop. so....IMO, Alert Pay is just as easy as PayPal. Maybe easier. It doesn't work as easily with bank transfer of funds (due to transfer fees) but they take credit cards, money orders (no fee) and checks (no fee). Looks like a good alternative to Paypal.
Bwild: Well it's probably just the open board that will change. That's how I read things. You'll be able to create your own board with your own circle of friends. I think.
Bwild: public discussion boards will be replaced by a new system that would be focused on groups of friends, event comment threads and a rewritten module of problem reports or "I am lost, please help me" inquiries.
Tuesday: I was one of the interesting twerps that caused a bit of trouble back then. But the mods changed things. Them, and some serious shock therapy set me right. Today I am a model citizen.
There is a simple solution to the Pay Pal problem. Everyone that wants to use paypal just sends the money to me (plus a 5 us dollar handling fee) and I'll make the payment via one of the other BK payment options. :) But I'll probably get a letter from Pay Pal asking what business I'm involved in.
This may be a dumb question on my part but if you reject a public friend invite, they are locked out of further requests. If a person rejects someone but then later decides to accept, can the lock out be changed or does it need an administrator?
(V): It is a bug of some kind. I'm at my daughter's and get the same thing from her computer. But it's not a big deal as it doesn't affect anything else on BK. I'll probably miss it when it's gone.
