that's an expression after facing numerous, seemingly chained events ... :")
I doubt though that it's valid to let it cumulate in an impression, paid
members are having an advantage at stalling games for what purpose ever,
although I don't know shaggath, someone who's won 50 tourneys already,
seems very unlikely depending on stalling to keep high ratings ... ;)
I admit, also I sometimes use a certain timing to have a slight influence on
my lost points ... i.e. first I lose a couple of inevitably gone games, then I
finish all wins of the same game-type that I might have delayed a bit before.
>:) results in minimally lesser losses in my ratings ... :D
indeed 2 months for 10 moves is slow.
but actually cAn happen during holiday time.
for moving each day preferably I do agree as well,
but if my opponent has more than 120 games I don't expect it.
I suggest avoiding tournaments with a timerange of more than 3 days
refering to your preferences as I understood them ... good luck ... :) ~*~
it's not that easy go ...
and your object is not my object - I have fun by winning too.
but indeed buckwheat has only provisional ratings
- with mine it would take much more effort and be
even impossible by simply 'winning one game' ...
therefore restauring of my ratings is essential for me,
after they got messed up by server malfunctions ...
else it takes months to balance - a crash every few
weeks and your advice volatilizes nicely, MidMed ... :O
but for me, zero problemo to have a few days patience until
Fencer has worked through the really urgent problems here ... ~*~
the newest guys are the only ones who tend to try out the
few-seconds-refresh, thus leading to more frequent server overloads ...
(not of a good attractivity as we should be able to agree)
older guys feel no problems to do refreshing themselves ...
mine is set to quarter an hour btw, hardly ever triggered ...
I'm not for static moves-restrictions though ...
30 moves a day are a lot for a chess player, but for battleboats
it might seem nothing ... not easy to meet all interests ... ~*~
(lalala) Football's coming home (lalala) you're right Harley 0:)
seems to be no waiting game ... :D and I mean Football, not that
armoured american rugby variant ... OHHH ! 0:) okay I'm off ... ;) ~*~
The only Basketball Game I've ever visited was in Munich 1972
Puerto Rico vs Soviet-Union ... the taller boys won, and
albeit the hearts of the visitors, sadly not the more skilled ones ... :) ... ~*~
okay as the teasing is running very well I'm back to my games ... :)
else I might feel pelled to give note of Cuba domineering
the Panamerican Games and, of Puerto Rico defeating the
US-Boys in Basketball ... 0:) ... ooops :D too late ... ~*~
no you're not the lonesome ranger, but I wouldn't reduce it to
the percentage - the sheer amount played at brainking.com 0:)
is remarkable ... Eddie always happens to offer a lot of games
in the waiting room and is a good oasis for newcomers peeking ...
and yes, you are very mean and whatever, as opposition
on the pente-board ... - but I'm used to enjoy that ... :P ... ~*~
perhaps you have tried to do your move a 2nd time
after not being sure that it was submitted properly ?
in such a case I too noticed that the played stone
of sudden seemed to change its colour ... but that
'fata morgana' has always vanished next move, for me ... ~*~
Konu: the price for rook membership is already too high
I strongly disrecommend lacking respect for
non-american loan levels - this is not iyt ... ~*~
PS it's the common, invalid milk-maiden calculation
to assume raising prices means higher income ...
one of the main reasons why CD- and software
companies have problems since years ...
impudent attitude leads to sharing and cheating.
e.g. I simply refuse to pay 50$ for a computer game
- I get it from a friend when he's done. if the price would
be 25$ - four times the sales minimum would be acchieved.
equals double income. sounds odd ? think. ~*~
of course it makes no difference altogether,
whether one moves for a few hours in 100 games
or in 500 games - he has always only one of them loaded PERIOD ~*~
for some types the amount of games is entirely inessential.
I actually do not pay for restrictions but for lacking of them.
and even your impression based on the view of chess is not complete.
in correspondance chess you have only 3 days per move,
but the reflection time cAn be accumulated, that is necessary to keep up the quality-difference to otb chess ... ~*~
PS indeed I prefer the 3days tourneys too and the best
gameplay in chess I acchieved when it didn't extend 30 games.
I'm not sure ... Hamburg is internet-service capital of germany,
but I guess Frankfurt as center of the Telekom world
is better featured, most likely the dutch metropole also ...
not to mention 'Siemens' Munich ... hehehe !
have you investigated or are you just teasing back ? :P ~*~
and maybe you should get over torturing your brain
over the life other people have and put it to Sergeant Chat.
(it's degraded since long, to pre-emptively catch yet another post)
I appreciate that Fencer does not make fullmouth promises
(certainly a new server will cast new problems at the beginning)
The Czech Republic is not the center of europe.net
- bandwidth problems are likely to be expected for a while yet.
But about only 100 players simultaneous as edge of capacity
really have to be overcome if it is supposed to work out ~*~
Konu: You are a true careling, M&M ... :D ... Very good idea to get a translator
Once I had an uninvited one at brainking but that doesn't belong here ... 0:)
Indeed - jokies besides - everyone cAn figure that during that
particulary messy past week even the more patient folks started
complaining, thus most likely stuffing the inbox of poor Fencer.
I haven't btw as I assumed such exceptionary low site performance
as known doesn't have to be reported furthermore and certainly
is bugging nobody more than our webmaster ...
Timeouts are suspended, that's the core for me as serious player.
Extending the paid membership by that week would be greatly appreciated.
Fencer has always replied to any request by me.
1500 complaints assumed during the past couple of days
it needs not much arithmetics to calculate the required time.
Chill peeps.
Remains to wish best luck to Liquid now that the hardware does
not become his very personal screwdriver ... hehehe ! I mean it. ~*~
I surely won't send just one dollar to keep
bank companies or overpriced letter-fees alive ...
apart of my opinion that the Czech Republic, soon to be a member
of the European Union anyway, slowly should get used to using the
€=Euro as basic currency for the biggest economy worldwide ... 8) ...
but I will prolongue my membership soon
with a few additional bucks as donation to the fund. ~*~
that was just an instinct-driven eruption - like at members-only too ...
obsession is a tough fate, we should wish him help (and an own life)
thanks for all reflective input and good luck to those who care about BK ... ~*~
it should not be forgotten that until summer 2001
average two catastrophical crashes per year took out
also IYT peridodicly ... that's why iyt-town was founded mainly ... ;)
so we could stay in touch during the continueing mess ...
even after that it took them more than a year to get a new server
that still messed up daily then, yet for many weeks ...
still once per day their maintainance casts drop-outs, remember !
reminds me that my club@yahoo indeed is no iyt-club from the principle ...
it's for board-games players in general and, perhaps a good
option to exchange also reports about access problems here ...
whining a bit is understandable and, granted there. :D
even the known iyt-bullies are welcome as long
as they keep their language children-proof ... okay ? 8)
you're right - yesterday and today - a pain in the butt ...
worst ever - even with only 30 players online I was not able
to play 3 moves in row, from 4 pm to 10 pm on wednesday,
today similar ... just 60 players and loading takes decades ... :( ... ~*~
