thisbeme: You can trust in me... buy a Black Rook Membership, and you'll receive another and can do with it what you wish: sell, give, change for tournaments prizes... Fencer will accept it. And other players have already buy a Black Rook Membership with that logik, with a red code: 2 BR for the price of 1.
Fencer can, certainly, confirm what Im saying. Is that right, Fencer?
thisbeme: Red Bonus it's ok... 2 memberships forever. That's correct. You can offer the other one. Or you both (you and some other person) can buy it together, so it's similar to a 50% discount!
"Well, there is actually one new feature. Instead of a fixed day of action end, BrainKing will offer colour codes until 100 bonuses of the same type or 500 bonuses of all types are awarded. The counter will start when the action is launched."
Mélusine: There are still a few players playing. And one of the slowest, as I said, is a person I really respect, good player and friend. So, this is nothing personal, and if he/she read this, I'm sure he/she'll understand!
Let me tell you an example of what has been said here. This tournament. A lot of "pawn players" are waiting that it ends. Almost 3 years to play a 7 points cube gammon in groups of 4 or 5 players? It's obviously too much. And I know that players who haven't ended their games are great people. I'll say no names, but one of them is a great friend, a "clean and fair player", and I really respect and like him very much. But those pawns can't play any other tournament since January'2009! Some of them may be expecting to win it and the prize associated, and... nothing more than wait. (Listen to Waits music, BTW... eheh). This is "legal", but it's not understandable, in my opinion!
SL-Mark: The pawn must be "indicated" for a fellowship. It could work with a Fencer's PM, something like "Fencer, I want to pay a 6 months knight membership to the pawn ####, and it must be noted for the fellowship MONKEYS SWINGING MADHOUSE", for example.
Monkey: Fencer would create that Team Tournament for invitation(!!!), according to the PM received.
Melusine: The job in the fellowship would be to get a "paid godfather" to the pawn they would promote. And receive him/her properly. When I came to Brainking, I knew nothing about the site, and some very pacient people in Tugas explained me everything. My point is to inforce that spirit! And, of course, it would create stronger union between the new paying member and the fellowship... seems a very healthy thing, to me! :)
By the way... I would certainly pay a membership to a pawn, in that spirit! :)
- A Team tournament (you choose game/games) where any team who wants to join in must promote a pawn to rook/knight/bishop for... 6 months, for example.
The prize for the winning team is a "credit" to promote another pawn, for 6 months.
Well... we all agree in something, I see. Beeing polite is always the best solution.
However, I must admit that in my point of view, we wouldn't need a shorter time limit (1 day, for example) to have a faster game, if people had that "logic" of playing fast. Of course, this forces you to have a number of games you think you can deal with. My "magical number" is 200 games (for the time I spend in BK, is ok). How do I know it is ok? Well... when I start playng (and stay connected for 1 hour), I "clean" my main page, until have Zero games where is mu turn to play.
thisbeme: I would time out a lot if I had more than 1700 games running! ;)
I agree interly with Marshmud, and disagree with Rod. Slow playing doesn't violate any formal rule, but violate basic courtesy, has Aganju said. But ok... only my opinion. Anyway, I still insist... always great when people can say it in proper words. Being polite, of course! :)
Marshmud: Yes, I remember. When Fencer first created Team Tournaments, they were prized with brains. I thought it was a great idea, and felt more addicted to BK, then. This is good, right? :)
I've already suggested, and repeat it (sorry for that), brains could be a great prize for team tournaments, and I think it would be good for the site. Team competition is an important and still not very explored potentialitty of BK, if players could be motivated to great competition in those tournaments. How about it, Fencer? You give the brains, for now!
rod03801: Exactly! That's why I haven't stranged when I first tried to acess BK and the browser wrote something like "page not found"... but the point of pedestrian is interesting: after half an hour, this "page not found" was changed for a "common BK page" with the sentence "the site is currently down. Its owners had been advised,..."... so, it was an expected failure, or it was a "surprise"?
pedestrian: not always... in the first half hour, no message was written, and we couldn't simply access Brainking. But ater that... I may agree with you. However, I don't understand anything about that "technical stuffs"... :)
Well, let's see what you think about this. I was wondering about an action that could increase teams tournaments competition, and offer something that includes some "spending money" and "merit in playing games".
So, Fencer could create a big teams tournament (random games, to be fair and unpredictable), and the winning team players (or other user they indicate) could buy a mebership with the "red code conditions", or something like that. What do you think about this?
