Tuesday: No, actually I'm not dodging. You're just being dishonest. My view is simple and consistent.
Taking the life of an innocent human being is morally wrong. Abortion takes the life of an innocent human being. Therefore, abortion is morally wrong. I oppose abortion on those grounds. ALL abortion save one. When the life of the mother is truly in danger, and an abortion is deemed medically necessary (to save the mother's life) then preforming an abortion would be morally justifiable. Mind you, a human life is still lost. It's still a sad occasion. But it's the only circumstance where abortion would be morally justified.
Snoopy: yes and that wasn't from neglect either :( poor thing...but (V) will have an arguement against that because the UK is perfect according to him.....our health service is horrendous over here in ALL facets, not just dental...unless you go private you have just got to wait...a for instance that I know to be true....
Before my Vern died (about 5 years before) his eyes were deteriorating and he had cataracts that needed looking at...he was placed on a waiting list at the public hospital and died waiting:( there are still bloody great long waiting lists in most departments :(
Tuesday: You have a way of dodging all questions. I want to know if our view on abortion is consistent (mine is). If you are against abortion in all circumstances, then you MUST also be against abortion in situations of rape and incest.
Artful Dodger: The political view is simple. Say what they think will get them the most votes by the public. You cant take anything they say for anything other than vote gathering IMHO
Why are democrats personally opposed to abortion but favor a woman's "right to choose."
They are opposed to abortion ONLY in their words. But in their actions, they favor it. They pretend to be against abortion because they know that abortion opponents consider it the taking of an innocent life. So they say they are against the taking of a human life (through abortion) but ok with the fact that abortion takes the life of an unborn human as long as the mother is making that decision.
Konu: Re: I'm against taking of life under any circumstance.
Bwild: I have to agree with you there Bwild. It's almost worse than murder as the baby is a living entity but is helpless and deserves all the protection that can be given to him/her, not to be abandoned and left to a murderer with a rusty coathanger
Artful Dodger: hehehehe and I brush Bears teeth as well....he is 8 today, I bought him a squeeky toy LOL....just to add to the million others he has hahahahaha
Konu: I'm against taking of life under any circumstance.
you wouldnt protect your children or pets? are you suddenly vegan? saying things that arent true, makes it hard to present a viable arguement. using abortion as a form of birth control, just isnt morally right. using abortion to save a life,ie:the mother will more than likely die from childbirth...now your throwing dice,,, but overall, imo, abortion is in fact murder.
Bernice: I don't know but think it's likely also lack of understanding that contributes to tooth decay. Mother's milk won't promote decay but when the baby gets to solid foods, that's where the problem starts. Heck, we brush our dog's teeth.

Artful Dodger: yes and that is the same here.....lower class/lower income people have poorer health....to buy toothpaste/brushes only comes second to a cask of wine/grog...personal hygiene isnt something that a lot of the above have access to when they either live on the streets or in lower class housing where most essentials either aren't connected because they can't afford to connect them, again because the cask of wine/grog/beer comes first.
Bernice: True. And Tuesday is wrong, people living in middle class homes practice better dental care than do those in poor homes. It's a statistical fact.

Snoopy and AD: Tooth Decay is a curse...some of our towns/cities have flouridation and some dont unfortunately....Only the people with money can afford to go private here, all the others there is a might waiting list...CHildren seem to have the worst teeth from sucking soft drinks (soda pops) thru straws....not enough water is drunk by the majority of the population, but then the flouridated water tastes foul anyway LOL...My tap water isnt nice if you drink it from the tap so I filter all water for cooking, and drinking. Makes it somewhat better to drink anyway :)
Konu: Re: Us Demos aren't afraid of being Becked if we criticize each other.
Tuesday: How can you be a supporter of a political party that not only supports the butchering of the unborn, but works to make such butchering available to other countries at the US taxpayers expense?
In 1997 Obama opposed bill preventing partial-birth abortion.
Konu: Re: Us Demos aren't afraid of being Becked if we criticize each other.
Tuesday: You didn't say "Obama" you said "each other." Sherrod would be that "other." AND, she was being criticized by fellow Dems AND the WH WAS AFRAID of being Becked.
Bernice: I wonder if Obama Care covers tooth decay? Among the poorest of children in the US, tooth decay is a huge problem. It's sad. But the problem isn't dental coverage, it's lack of personal care. That happens at home. Dental care is secondary (and important too). But many people simply don't take care of themselves (or their kids) and the rest of us will eventually be asked to pick up the tab.
On the one hand, I want the kids helped. It's not their fault. OTOH, I want people to be told that they have to demonstrate some personal responsibility. Cover kids but adult who are too lazy to take care of their teeth, I dunno. Where does personal responsibility and consequences come into the picture?
I have just gotten home from our local hospital after having blood taken for diabetes, I waited 1 1/2 hours to have it taken. They are so overworked it isn't even funny...Thank god I don't have tooth decay because it is a 18 months to three years waiting list to see the dentist at the hospital.
