IMupChucKing: There was no conspiracy, secret plans or whatsoever. The tournament (with all its parameters) was created by Linda, I've just added a payment form to the tournament page top. Everybody who signed up for the tournament knew exactly how the tournaments work, there was no hidden information.
I agree that 30 day tournaments are a problem for some users (I don't say "all users" because I know many people who don't care about days per move and play just for fun, even tournament games). I plan to add a support for fast tournaments where no weekend or vacation days can be used.
BBW: The first player of each signed team will play with all other first players, the second one with all other second ones etc. And win/draw points will be summarized as the final score of the team in each particular match.
Let me finish the "table view", it will be more understandable then :-)
BBW: You had clicked on the "create" button more than once, huh? :-)
That's why there will be no such button in BK 2.0 and all tournaments will be controlled automatically by a script.
ughaibu: There is a set number of slots required [5 for one-game tourneys, 10 for two-game ones] because there is no way how to determine exact number of required slots before the sections are created [because some players can be removed during this process].
The point is that a tournament has sections. If only one section is created, the tournament has only one round. Otherwise, winners of each section will create new sections in the next round. The whole tournament is finished after completing the section which is the only one in the last round.
Be careful with the deadline parameter. When BK 2.0 is done and released, the "start tournament" button will be removed and all tournaments will be started automatically, according to their set deadline. And this process won't be reversable.
Steve: Yes, there was only one "official" tournament [the very first one], I would like to bring this idea back. Winners of official tournaments will become something like BrainKing champions etc. Maybe a small golden cup will appear next to their names :-D
bumble: I think that BBW refers to my previous post about his tournaments :-) I've just said that I prefer one tournament group with more game types than many tournament groups with just one game type [because it occupies bigger space on Tournaments page]. However, many people like it in this way, so I don't object anymore. Non-official tournaments will be moved to another page anyway, in the next version of BK.
IMupChucKing: You can also create a private tournament and send invitations only to "really fast" players of your choice. Of course, after you upgrade to Brain Rook :-)
I've just started the second round.
However, I don't understand why do you complain? You pay nothing, you can use a free service on this site as you can. If you don't like it and want to take advantage of more features, upgrade your membership. That's what everybody does.
(sakla) If you want to play a game with an opponent of a similar level, you can define a required BKR range for a new game invitation. Then nobody with a BKR outside this range will be able to see/accept it. (Katechka) (Bütün ipuçlarını göster)
