oddson2003: It is OK - in Czech Checkers, you must capture with your queen if you can ("preference rule" in the table of specific rules of checkers variants)
In my last game of czech checkers, I had a situation where I could take an opponents checker with either my Queen checker or with an ordinary checker, the system only allowed me to move the Queen checker, is this a bug or is it part of the rules of the game.
Pedro Martínez: That's a pity - however I admit that such a situation occurs very rarely. Any idea why it takes Fencer so long to fix this bug? In Turkish checkers, jumped opponent's pieces are removed during the move so this functionality is already implemented at BK...

mangue: You're welcome :)
And there is one more important rule regarding jumps in Czech checkers - the opponent's pieces that you have already jumped over are removed from the board AFTER the whole move is finished (in contrast to, e.g., Turkish checkers where they are removed during the jump and thus creating new jumping opportunities). However I am not sure whether this particular rule is correctly implemented here on BrainKing right now (several weeks ago I reported the bug concerning removing jumped opponent's pieces from the board during the jump to Fencer - he asked me for a link to official rules of Czech Checkers, I provided him with the link and since then I have received no other feedback from him ...)
(according to the official rules the move I was forced to play by BrainKing was illegal - I should have finished my jump at b4 (or somewhere else at the particular diagonal) because the already jumped pawn at e7 should be removed from board after my jump will be finished and therefore prevents me from jumping over the pawn at d6 ...)!
mangue: If you have an opportunity to continue jumping, you must do so....
However, you don't have to make a maximum jump in Czech checkers like in some other variants of checkers (International, Turkish, Portuguese ...). In particular, if you have more possibilities to jump, then 1) must capture with your queen (even a single jump, no matter that you can make a multi-jump with your pawn) 2) if you have more queens to perform a jump, you can choose any you like (no matter how many jumps you can do with this particular queen compared to other queens) 3) if you choose a queen to jump with and jump over an opponent's piece, you can land anywhere you want only if there is no possibilty to continue with another jump (otherwise, like in the game you asked about, you must continue jumping; if there are more landing squares from which you can jump again, you can choose any of them arbitrarily, no matter how many jumps you will finally do in your move...)
I hope that it is understandable. If not, don't hesitate to ask again ;-)
!Undertaker!: Unfortunately it really seems that Ustica has very poor knowledge about endgames in this checkers variant which really surprises me ... In every checkers club even small children are taught that ending of 3 queens vs 1 queen where the weaker side controls the main diagonal a1-h8 is a draw (except from several pathological cases of course ...). Ustica's ignorance of this simple fact is really surprising! :-)))
The bug has already been resolved - Fencer cancelled that illegal move! We must hope that it was only a rare exception and that the same problem won't arise in the future again ... :-)))

Hello everybody!
I would like to inform you about a serious bug in Czech Checkers I discovered when playing one of my games. In fact, BrainKing allows users to play illegal moves! Here is an example:
Although my opponent had to play 16. h2xf4 (the only legal move according to the rules), the system let him play 16. b2-c3 instead of it. I really don't know how is it possible and whether it is only a problem in Czech Checkers or in several other variants of Checkers too. I have never seen a similar bug in my Checkers games so far.
Konu: Re: Interesting Games - Interesting Openings
Grandmaestro: Grandmaestro, Your sample games has more errors!! More time are winning position. Exist about czech draughts 2 new books. first Guide about czech draughts and second Openning theorie in Czech draughts. First is complete for all players, is all in book and second is first complete openning theorie about czech draughts. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and I hope, that we meet in real online server, in kurnik :-)
Does anyone have some interesting and intriguing games they would like to share for the forum here.
Or perhaps some of you can share some opening theory or interesting openings in Czech draughts style. Czech is very intersting variant - a cross between English Checkers and Russian/Brazilian Draughts.
Gabriel Almeida: Thank you for understanding this discussion is not useful here. You might note that no one is posting about Czech Checkers but rather are posting flames, insults, cheating accusations, moderator concerns and everything else under the sun. All Global Moderators are accessable to everyone as is Nightstorm the main moderator and it is to them that the issues which bother you need to be directed.
Purple: Some of us can't PM the moderator, so... this looks to be the only way to explore our doubts. Besides, these kind of doubts look pertinent and acceptable to me! That's my opinion, I know it's not yours! It's unusefull to keep on this discussion.
Just one more question, Purple... do you really like this game (Czech Chechers)? I ask it, because you have only 2 games finished... it's not usual in a moderator of a DB about a game...

Dear, be hard to defend against false accusation, above all when well I don't know English. With Mr Sobkem I have personal problems, and smoothing-out is in this way, forbid me. Indeed I'm about to law steps to already once for always do for. Your games I am step by step finish. Soon will you know truth who's that Mr Sobek. Thank for Your time.
If you encounter a cheater - avoid playing them as much as possible, and tell all your friends via private messages and let the usual tournament directors know so they know not include them in their tournaments.
It's impossible to prove 100% for a fact that a person is cheating in online games - so accusing someone publicly on a discussion board like this is worse than cheating in itself...what if you're wrong?
Welcome to BrainKing! Our site offers a unique game playing experience that we know you will enjoy. In order to make this experience enjoyable for everyone, we have a few guidelines for all to acknowledge. By signing on to this site you agree to the following guidelines: General Guidelines: (rules to be applied throughout the site - in games & discussion boards) This is a family site, thus foul language, sexual language and threats ARE NOT ALLOWED on BrainKing. Discussion Board Guidelines: This is a game site, not a chat site. The discussion boards are here to enhance the game playing on BrainKing. No Flame Wars! No Foul Language! Be Nice or do not post. Moderators are assigned to each board to help watch over the board. They have the right to edit and remove any post which does not agree with these guidelines. They also have the right to hide and ban any user who continues to ignore the guidelines of the site. Taking up personal issues with a Moderator on their board will only get you banned. If you have serious issues with a Moderator, then please contact the moderator first of all. You will find them reasonable if you message them in a calm manner with your complaint. If this does not resolve your problem, either do not visit the boards they moderate, or take it up with Global Moderators. Baiting is not allowed. That is you should not make post which is intended to provoke other users into posting a negative reply. Moderators Guidelines: The job of a Moderator is to watch over the board to make sure other users stay within the guidelines of this site. If a post does not fall into the site guidelines, the moderator should: Edit post for content if rest of the post belongs in the board. Remove the post if none of the post belongs in the board. Warn user IN PRIVATE about edited/removed post, and point them to guidelines if needed. If multiple users are engaged in a flame war, a public post saying "stop" can be used. If posting continues after a warning, the poster should be hidden for at least a few hours, possibly longer (24 hours or more). If after being unhidden a poster continues, then a ban of the user can be used. Moderators are free to take more strict or less strict actions as needed, but should try to follow the above guideline when possible. If the board is getting out of hand, which can happen from time to time with certain topics " the moderator should change the posting right to "Approve all" until things settle back down. The moderator can also change the posting right to "Approve pawns" if it is needed. REMEMBER: This is suppose to be a fun game site, so some off-topic post and fun can be a good thing, so be careful not to over-moderate, and try not to nit-pick every post to find something wrong with it. Consequence: The BrainKing staff handle incidents on a case by case basis. Some possible actions that will be taken if necessary are: Posting privileges removed (temporarily or permanently) Chatting in-game privilege removed Ban from BrainKing temporarily Permanent ban from BrainKing BrainKing staff is small, so if you have a complaint against other users " please be patient with us while we try to look at all the facts. You have to remember that this is a game site, and we try to spend the majority of our time in improving the game site itself. What to do if you have problems with other users: Put that user on your Enemy list Hide and ignore the other users post. Instead of starting a "flame war" with the user, just ignore them. It takes a bigger person to ignore than try to sink to their level. If it is on a discussion board, privately see if the Moderator will do anything about a post which bothers you. If all the above fails, please contact a Global Moderator privately. AGAIN, this should be a LAST RESORT. The more time that is spent on spats between users, the less time that is spent on trying to improve this game site.
Of course, Purple don't like we talk about programs. That's easy to understand!
I believe in Sobek words. I know this post will be deleted, but I'm tired of playing against cheaters, and I still don't understand Why doesn't Fencer do anything. Comercial reasons? Patrick Chu have done the same in IYT, and that's why so few people are still there.
Because of that, I've almost give up of playing Checkers, Czech Checkers or Chess. But I don't like it, because I paid my membership precisly because of some of that games! Fencer, you can not simply ignore us!!! You know that many, many people is tired of this, just as I am. Some of them speack, others are silenced, others are simply bored with these kind of things, and go away. I know a few cases...
Sincerely (and I say this because I really like this site), I hope it will run in "other directions" in the future...

mangue: I don't want war. However, I think everybody have to know who use programs. Now, I know more players what supostly use programs, but many players don't know and I think nobody wants play against players that use programs. But it's only my opinion. Thanks for your help :)

I better play against a human with computer as against a human accusing me to be a cheater if I win. I second Purple argument, do not miss respect to your opponent.
If you want to avoid cheaters, try to play some exotic variants like parachute checkers or anti-checkers, there are surely very few efficient program there!
Or try to play with some opponents you trust and who trust you and add the cheaters to your blocked users list
