Hello it is me Brian. I finally made it back. Was going to be back earlier but the weather was acting up LOL Thank Goodness for me having my sister's laptop. I'm doing good under the circumstances but still a little bit nervous. Things I found out from my family especially my brother, shocked the heck out of me. Have to go back on Thursday to see if everything is going well. I sure hope that I can actually start walking w/o using something & get back to normal. By the sounds of it, I'll be taking it easy for the next 2 to 4 wks. I'll post when I know what has happened & what my family hasn't told me. Not quite sure if I want to know tho. Again I just wanted to say Hi & ty for all the prayers & thoughts for me & my family at this time. Very much apprieciated. Also I would like to say a huge ty for the welcome everyone has given to Tom & to a special friend of mine for taking the time to do my turns & watching my fellowship for me. Well I better get going & take some meds before I fall asleep. Good Night & God Bless each & everyone
Brian has to go back next wk. The tests came back inconclusive. They did 2 separate tests at different times which showed 2 different results. Brian is feeling down but still fighting w/ plenty of hope. Thank Goodness we got him a wheelchair so he can actually go outside. Still has to do his exercises but we aren't doing them 3 times a day for 1 hr. We are going to do them 2 times a day 1 in the morning & 1 in the afternoon. At least he is getting alot of latch-hooking done LOL. Brian said in the hospital room that he will definitely be back here this weekend
I'm so sorry for not being here & doing alot of updating on Brian like I would like to have done. Been going to all the game sites that I know of to let his friends know what was what. Saturday morning we contacted the Dept of Human Resources to get him a wheelchair so he can move around which he is renting. He was getting pretty yancy about wanting to go out & shop for things. LOL The walking exercises are definitely doing good for both him & the rest of us. Our sister gave him a laptop to use ( mostly to watch the Tigers) Today he is in the hospital for follow up testing & hasn't gotten home yet & didn't receive a call that he would be staying in yet. So far, it looks like everything is going good healing wise but as we know, looks can be deceiving. I'll let everyone know what is what when he gets home later on today or Thursday. Again, I'm so sorry about not being here updating his health. Our continued thoughts & prayers go out to each & everyone who needs them. Again, a big ty for all the prayers our way. & we are very apprieciated. Brian might actually start playing & posting here again hopefully this weekend
We keep everything closed up during the day but we have a fan built into the ceiling. We turn that on overnight when the temps are cooler. We leave some windows & all doors open to pull in the cooler air that you can actually feel a very nice breeze. We have 2 ac's but they are located at the other end of the house. It would take almost 3 1/2 hrs to actually reach his bedroom. Put some fans in certain places to draw to cooler air to his room but that doesn't seem to work to well tho
Well all the tests came back great yesterday morning. Brian couldn't wait to get out of there. Slept the rest of the day Monday. Still he has to take the anti-biotic pills tho. I consider them being horse pills. Has to go back every 2 wks for follow-up checkups This weather however is making him cranky ( extremely hot & humid) so the exercises are definitely going to be hard, even in the house. Again I just want to say a big TY for everyone's continued thoughts & prayers daily for him & the rest of the family. God Bless each & everyone. Sorry that I didn't post anything earlier. Was hectic to say the least for us trying to get everything ready for his welcome home LOL
Amandakmg365: yqw....only has messenger on it. Definitely will miss most of the games but after 6 1/2 to 7 wks, he can go to either the Tiger games or the start of Wolverines football. I haven't checked when they start this year LOL
Tuesday: ty & I will Tuesday. Brian was thinking that as well, he did have everything planned out, have a good friend taking his turns for him so his games wouldn't time out, making a little boss in his fellowship & keep it nice & running & for me doing alot of other things w/o worrying. I think as well as you, that ppl should do that as well so alot of players know what has happened to missing players as well
ScarletRose: yqw & yes this does put your life into perspective when something like this happens to someone in your family, someone you know as well. My yard isn't as big as his tho & mostly mow everything at his home w/ the tractor except for inside the fenced in part. The only things that was getting out of control is the weeds in his 10 gardens & that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Taking it easy tonight & tomorrow. Between me & our 3 sisters everything will be doing ok
Snoopy: yqw. Did you know that Snoopy is his favorite cartoon character....even has a glass snoopy jar that used to have jelly in it & also has 2 Charles Schultz's comic books, "It's A Dog's Life, Snoopy" & "Peanuts Treasury" which he got before Mr. Schultz passed away
Amanda & Scrappi, Brian will be home on the 6th but won't be on-line much for the next 3 to 5 wks tho. I decided not to answer the phone & let him do that when he is able LOL Like Brian doesn't like to be quiet If I can figure out on how to get his messenger working, he'll be able to chat that way for 15 minutes we can do that. I did mention to Crow when she asked me which hospital Brian was in while I was in Dorcino's, it is Heritage Hospital. I have to do something w/ all the flowers he has at the house. I brought them home w/ me. Haven't seen that many bouquets & containers in my life LOL
I finally got hold of the Dr's on Wednesday & asked what they did & what they planned on doing. They told me that they did another test before the surgery to see if everything was the same from the 1st test they did. They found out after the test that they Aorta was a little damaged but the left ventricle was ok. They put in a stent heading somewhere ( so sorry) can't remember all the medical stuff. Did more tests on Wednesday to see if everything was going good. So far it is. They moved him out of ICU that morning. Brian is healing up nicely that on Thursday, for at least 1 hr 3 times a day, they started him walking slowly to build up his strength. Brian will be released on the 6th so he can be home ( he's been bugging them bigtime about that) LOL. Don't have the names of the anti-biotics he'll be having tho. But when he is home, He cannot sit down for long periods of time ( 15 minutes max). Won't be able to do much of anything for the next 3 to 5 wks if lucky. Brian will be able to start doing his walking exercises(Dr. orders) next Wednesday the 7th. Him using a walker isn't something I'm used to seeing, but that is what he'll be using occasionally I do believe. Definitely going to drive him crazy that he can't sleep or sit the regular way that he does. Somewhat sitting up w/ his legs elevated when awake or sleeping. Between my work & things that needs to be done around my home & coming back & getting things done around here is alot tougher than I expected. Hopefully I haven't destroyed anything in his gardens . I haven't been answering his phone tho. Going to re-arrange his bedroom for easier access to everything this weekend. Pixie can't wait for Brian to come home. Brian will be doing alot of latch-hooking LOL Sorry for going on & on. Again I just wanted to say BIG TY for all the prayers & continued thoughts for me & our family at this time + being his friends as well. Take good care of yourselfs & God Bless
This is his brother Tom using his nick at the moment. Brian's surgery didn't go to well. The Dr's tried lowering his blood pressure but the meds made him hyperventilate & shaking way to much that they had to rush him into ICU to monitor him 24 7 for 2 days until he was stable. On the 26th, he had surgery but they found alot of blockage around Aorta & the left venticle. That was a 7 hr waiting nightmare so say the least. Brian is still in ICU & might be there for another week. All depends on the meds that will help. Sorry if I don't know the names on all. Still waiting to talk w/ the Dr's on what they did & what they are planning to do. They definitely told me that he isn't going to be working anytime soon. I have to go to his work & tell them that he won't be coming back. Again I just wanted to say a thank you for all the prayers & thoughts for a speedy recovery from my family to all of you! He used to play under the name of MagicDragon a few years back
So sorry that I haven't been playing here for awhile (again) My Mom was rushed into the hospital on the 26th of last month for her breathing...she was turning white badly...found out that she has blood clots in her lungs & is on oxygen 24/7 now. W/ the help of family, I'm her caregiver at the moment so I'm doing almost everything ( not by myself) unless it is her time for a bath or shower which my sister helps her. We have a home nurse who comes in 2 times a week or more if needed to do her vitals & checks her meds at the moment. Also found out that she lost another great-grandchild last week. My nephews gf was due in August but she had a miscarriage on May 12th so it has been a very rough time for us here. My other nephew & his gf are expecting their 2nd child. The due date is July 4th so please say a prayer for her as well for a nice & healthy baby boy or girl..very much apprieciated!
TigerCat: So sorry for not keeping everyone updated since last April....As some of you know or may not know, I have permenant memory loss from my 2nd H.A. & started playing here again since Jan or Feb. Update: My great nephew passed away from SIDS ( at the time last posted we didn't know the cause). Also My Aunt Patricia ( also my Godmother) is cancer free hopefully! The Dr's thought that they had to freeze & do something else but they did the right amount of Chemo & drugs which weakened the cancer cells but they have to wait for another 6 months before a possible transplant (that was last August) Also please say a few prayers for my younger brother, after having leg problems, the Dr's informed him that he is in the early stages of MS. Has been going for treatments the last couple of months & now he has to go to a clinic each month for them. Again so sorry that I haven't posted here...My continued thoughts & prayers go out for everyone who needs them. TY so much for the well wishes & words of encourangement & above all prayers. Very deeply apprieciated
I have some very sad news to report..On June 5th, my 6 1/2 month old Great-Nephew suddenly passed away..His name is David Randall James....They are thinking it might be SIDS but they haven't said what the official word is yet (under investigation)...On the 12th...I had a minor heart attack & was in ICU for 4 days & in a private room for 3 days before they released me...I'm home now & getting alot more rest than I'm used to.....My Aunt Patricia is still doing good..she went to get chemo today but good news to report, after they try to freeze the cancer & giving her a shot, the cancer is getting smaller that hopefully the Dr's will give her an OK to go on vacation to see family
TigerCat: She just came out of the hosp. & the Dr's told her that Chemo is no option & possibly would kill her because she only has 1 kidney. This week she is going back into the hosp. so they can try & freeze the cancer & remove it that way.
Thank You! Very much apprieciated. The Lord gives us only so many crosses that we can bear & leave the rest in his hands. Her name is Patricia & she is my God-Mother. She had cancer of the kidney 5 yrs ago & open heart surgery last summer. She has a feisty attitude towards life & I always say laughter is the best medicine
So sorry that I've been away...My Aunts tests came back & I have some very bad news to report. The cancer she has is in her limpods(?) & there isn't much they can do. w/o chemo, she has 2 yrs & w/ light chemo, she has 4 yrs. She has been really down in the dumps. She is back in the hospital due to some bleeding from some of the tests they did & she isn't expected to come out until she's A OK.

Bubbles Pbarb2: My Aunts name is Patricia & she is my God Mother, we found out today that there is a huge tumor on the kidney & a transplant is out of the question. She has to be cancer -free for 2 yrs before they consider a transplant. They are going to do laser little by little until it is gone. She has an app. on the 6th on the limnods (?) & a couple of biopsies

Tuesday: ty...she had to go today for a bone marrow test. They are using lazer on a small part of the kidney. They don't know at the moment if it is a slow or fast moving kind of cancer...that is why they aren't going to operate

I just found out that my Aunt on my Mothers side has cancer of the kidney. She had it almost 5 yrs ago & had to have her kidney removed. When all of her tests are done, we'll be able to find out if she's able to have a transplant
