I think there was an issue once with Lebron and his Mom and family advisors doing something that didn't seem kosher, but he had no college or NCAA hierarchy issue being that he was a high -schooler...
as these schools, agents and tv networks continually make huge money the scholar athlete always gets mentioned in some "scandel".... the truth to the story is a "wannabee" sports agent gave a home to Reggie Bushes parents to live in and 100,000 dollars. Reggie never signed any contract deal with this person and when he told the "wannabee agent" that he was going to sign with someone else to be represented this loser was upset and wanted back rent from the parents and is crying a river that his plan didn't work....
Jim Dandy: To be completely honest, I think almost all of the USC players are going to not live up to the hype. They all were surrounded by solid college players. When you play with people that are solid, you play much better too... you can work with each other, work off each other... teams with one main guy, that find a way to win with that one guy... well that one guy might get a lot better in the NFL when he does get around other good players. However, I think Reggie Bush is still pretty phenominal. :-)
rednaz23: As awsome said, there is a number of people who think Bush may not be as dominating in the NFL as he has been in college.I think the Texans are more desperate for the pass rush the guy they drafted will provide.
Walter Montego: And it continued today. Thye lost to Oakland and now have lost five in a row. Ouch! :(
There's nothing like the pain of watching a 4 to 3 game at the start of the ninth with the home team losing by one run to having the visitors score 6 runs in the top of the inning.
They're on the road now, I hope they start to win soon.
Four losses in a row, the last three by one run. Hurting they are. Now in third place. Luckily no one else is currently doing much better in the division and it's early in the season still.
I think the Texans made a huge mistake by not trying to trade that #1 pick for at least an established player AND someones #1 pick if they didn't want to select Reggie...I think the outlook that he may only be a 3rd down back may be true...BUT, he'll score on many of those 3rd downs and he should be a dangerous punt returner...time will tell but I think he'd be a good fit on any team...
What do American Football fans think of the recent draft? Who got the best deal? Who got the worst deal!?
I think Reggie Bush in New Orleans is a good fit. He single handily can revitalize the Saints, and the city. I personally don't know what the Texans were thinking when they passed on Bush... Reggie that is! LOL
Pedro Martínez: for sure, a long way to go yet,, first to 18 wins.. now Dott is infront like this, he will start to feel the pressure of trying to stay there,, and may fall apart
Pedro Martínez: well Ebdon is already 4-1 frames down, so looking in favour of Dott at the moment.
Stats have Ebdon has beaten Dott 5 times to no losses in the past, so maybe this will be Dotts first defeat of Ebdon...
Id have liked to see O'Sulivan there also.
Stevie: Who do you think will take the title? I was hoping to see O'Sullivan in the finals, that would make the pair with Ebdon much more insteresting (at least for me).
Pedro Martínez: I only have the terestrial channels at the moment.. luckily BBC2 has covered it all.
Yeah, you could see with Ebdons emotions ,, how much it took out of them... That would have beena great final instead of semi
Are they giving it much coverage in countries other than the UK? There have been some cracking games.. especially the semi between Peter Ebdon and MArco Fu
The final has started off well also
Wow BA! That's a lot! I have approx. 15,000 cards. They are almost all from the late 80's and early 90's. I have a couple of complete sets simply from getting packs of cards as a youngster. Almost all of my cards are baseball cards, but I did get into basketball cards for a bit towards the end of my collecting days (about 1,000 cards that aren't baseball). I haven't looked at my cards for probably 5 years... I used to have my "book of value", and every card I had in there was at least $5. I full book with 120 pages... 8 to a page with a price sheet in the middle sleeve if people wanted to buy a specific card. I still have that book, as it was, with prices from a July 1999 Beckett... LOL
Well if it wasnt so big there would be a problem getting it into the tube. But since its big its easy to roll. And the card stock is the same as single cards.
I have about 80,000 cards and they all the same. (except for the one I have from the 50s) Its slim and flimsy.
Baked Alaskan: That is weird... because when I even roll my cards a little, they will bend, and not roll into something that could be put into a cardboard tube... Weird. Must be some kind of weird material like stock card...
I was wondering about that, he said his has been rolled up in a tube for 12 yrs but has a rip. Plus looking at his photos, the sheet is held down with VCR tapes? When I took mine out of the tube I needed bricks to hold mine down from rolling back up, no way VCR tapes are heavy enough LOL
So his hasnt been stored for all those yrs he claims. LOL
Mine is in mint condition.
No rips, tears or creases.
Baked Alaskan: You could even watch the people who bid on that one and contact them about yours and any future e-bay auction you may do. Between the people who are bidding for that one who don't get it and people who stumble upon it, you could probably get more for it than that guy! Also, because it might be nicer... no tear in the corner!
rednaz23:
Yeah, ePay stuff always skyrockets on the last day. But I still think your right on the dollar range. 100-150 seems decent. $15 ? I'll put it back away and save it for my son LOL I wont sell it that cheap.
Mine has a # of 2000 but still think its rare cause I dont think they made over 5K of them. (which in card business is low #s)
But b4 I deside to put this on ePay I will wait for the other one to sell and see what that guy gets out of it.
Baked Alaskan: Well my initial guess after hearing about this was $100-$150. E-bay I guess is selling for much lower than that... So either I am much to high or the auction will jump towards the end when time is running out... We'll see. I might me wrong. I am also concerned that this was produced in mass, since the E-bay one has a sticker with 01001 on it... if that's the case, I would not think it would be hundred bucks. I guess we'll all find out soon enough! :-)
Sorry it took so long to respond, I was taking pics then had to upload them to my server.
I use to buy and sell cards for a living. I got this sheet thru a mail in offer. The cards to mail in were seriously rare to find. Its not a crappy cereal thing LOL Its from Skybox. Its from the early 90s and havnt seen these on ebay or anywhere else. I was gonna look at Beckett but they want money LOL So I didnt get no info there.
As for the sports card stores not knowing anything... I think its just the area I live in. I'm in Alaska and not to many ppl up here to go to for info.
Well here is the URL for a few pics.

Vikings: That is true, that is what I am waiting for... :-) It might very well be General Mills or something... Once Baked Alaskan lets us know we can all go our seperate ways and see if we can figure this mystery out... :-)
Vikings: I totally agree with you, but the uncut cards are higher than the same quantity of cards of a regular "cut" Shaq rookie card. If you look in Beckett, it shows that many of his rookie cards are $5-$10 or more. (About twos years ago I sold 3 Shaq rookies at the height of his popularity for $50. Nothing special about those cards... but he has lost some popularity to many others... including former teammate Mr. Ra... oops... Mr. Bryant and now Mr. Wade...) If he has a sheet that is 5x6 (I think this is standard sheet size???), it is very likely hundreds of dollars. It depends on the maker, and the demand for that type of card... We will find out more I am sure. E-bay could be a good source, but after my first initial search I found nothing.
rednaz23: in the 90's collecting got so big that the companies started pumping out more cards and un cuts, especially non hobby, Shaq was a known commoditee like garnet and james, so they pumped out even more, you're right tho not to cut them up, and it might be worth quite a lot, but I wouldn't get my hopes up
Baked Alaskan: No!! Don't cut them up! They are worth much more together! You do have a rare find. May I ask the circumstances of how you came across this find?
Also, let me know what kind of cards they are (company: Fleer Ultra, Upper Deck, Stadium Club, etc.) How big is the sheet, 5x6?
I can pass this info a long to a friend of mine and either he or someone he knows should know...
