Our garden didn't do anything this year.. course we moved and didn't plant at home.. we went and planted at the ranch which is colder 

I have just planted upside down tomatoes that I bought...Will take pics as and if they progress...

Tuesday: I sure do like the cooler nights. Makes it very nice early in the mornings.

Ya'll are bragging and I don't blame you. I did not enjoy all those 100+ days. May have some more of the same this week.

Tuesday: We hardly have had any Summer and it's almost Fall.

Dolittle: I saw that on the news.

Foxy Lady: I didn't even plant tomato plants this year. Our extreme heat was burning everything up.

Dolittle: Were going to 58F tonite.High 85F tomorrow go figure.

Foxy Lady: That's sure not good when you are trying to grow some veggies.

Dolittle: Were having crazy weather,a very short Summer this year.

Foxy Lady: None of the ones I have seen were doing good either so it wasn't just in your area.
The plants all look sorta puny!

Dolittle: Topsy Turvy wasn't worth the money,not in my area anyways.Nothing like they show on TV.LOL

Foxy Lady: Hope they bear a lot for you. I was visiting a niece the other day and had some fresh sliced tomato....that made the trip even more worthwhile.

Dolittle: If the weather had been warmer,it sure would do much better.

Foxy Lady: that's great...not much beats those fresh tomatoes!!

on the Topsy Turvy planter.I got 3 tomatoes so far.Our weather has been cool,feels more like fall .

Bernice: As far as I know, Hosta is the name of a plant, also known as plantain lily. So a Hosta garden would be a garden comprising or including plants of this kind.

can someone enlighten me as to what a Hosta garden is....I did google it but ...... would it be like what we call a rock garden?

Well so far it's doing well,it's starting to flower

Finally our temps have warmed up.Planting is late this year in Central NY.Alot of ppl have lost some plants to the frost we've had at nite.I finally got my Topsy Turvy outside.I'll let ya know how it does.

I'm hoping by next week it will warm up,so we can plant.

ScarletRose: I'm going to try peppers also,just to see if it does what they claim on tv.

We planted some grape tomatoes last year in the ground.. and even though they were a fragile plant.. they grew and produced.. really good toms.. I think those are the same plants they have with those topsy turvy planters.. My mother bought them.. bummer she didn't water them regularily.. 

I love to try new things so i bought 2 Topsy Turvy planters for tomatoes.These plants grow upside down.My husband is trying a few in large pots.We have a bet going lol,he thinks he'll win.

TigerCat:you are welcome....get the black spot spray. It is very hard to get rid of once you've got it. Ask at your nursery :)

Bernice: When I do water, it is at the base & pick up all the leaves when they do fall or I just clipped off the entire branch. When the branch starts growing again, the leaves would be coming in thicker & even the buds starts coming in as well. Right when the buds are about to blossom, then the spots start up again. I have other roses in different gardens ( have 7 other 1's) & nothing happens to them at all. Just the 3 that are in a great place. I have to look up black spot spray to see where I can get it tho..TY for the info!

You must NOT water roses leaves....only at the base....that causes black spot if you water the leaves.

You must take ALL black leaves off and PUT THEM IN A PLASTIC BAG and disposes of them....do NOT leave them laying on the ground or it will spread.

Use a black spot spray AFTER you have gotten rid of the black spot leaves
