Ha ha ha, well for myself I can click and eat a sandwich at the same time (mouse in one hand, sandwich in the other!) ... but if we're talking about the GUYS... well its a well known fact they can't do two things at once so I guess they click... bite... click... bite!!! (only kidding guys!)
if you have lots of games going , there will be a percentage of those games where your move is forced to a certain place & if your on almost all day you can do a thousand moves easliy ;))
yep....they make a hell of a lot of moves, and yes isnt it amazing....Im flat out making 100 or so in a day....but then im only on for about 3 hours each day :)
"most active players" make about 900 moves a day...is that 900 moves in games they play..(their own moves AND opponents moves added up) OR do they make 900 moves THEMSELVES each day??? that would mean they make more than 1 move pr. MINUT for TWELVE HOURS A DAY!!! ??? that´s just
One thing that might lighten the load on your servers is to reduce the number of messages held on fellowships and the reg discusion boards. Some of the messages are 8 or 9 months old, there is no reason to keep them that long, some of the DB's have 500 to 600 messages.
题目: Re: Thanks Kevin for your help :-) & Game ID 93890 again....
lol peacepickle, I wish I had such high rating there..
but, Fencer/Kevin, sorry to bother you again with this.. I am glad my rating got restored, but:
BefOre I won this game I had the rating 1333 - once you win a game, your rating get higher, right? Could you please then upgrade my rating, as it should be? Or do you need to know my opponents rating as well at that time? - that would be 1666..
Chief: If you want, you can go to one of your games and change the number (after g= ) to the number you want. Or, you can go to their profile.
I had one game where it took it a couple minutes to realize i'd won, but it did eventually, and it only happened that once to me. Hopefully Fencer will look at it.
If we want to view a particular game and we have the game number is there a place on the Main Page where we can enter the number to pull up that game? Or do you have to go to one of the players profile?
ANIMAL: in four in a row you win when you place 4 -or- more in a row, at least it always has been at the other game site i play on.
SueQ: i have never seen this happen before either and i think it must be a bug. i hope they get it fixed soon. i would become a member here, but i think i'll wait and see if the site becomes more stable first.
OK, what is wrong with this site now?? on Game# 170774 i should have won the game when i played E-4 on move #27, right? but it didn't end the game and the other player won at e-5 on move #28. so i got a lose when it should have been a win? can someone please look at the game and tell me why this happened. it's bad enough when hours of moves are removed and have to be replayed, but now a win is a lose... you have a good site, but the bugs are taking over. ;o(
I can understand why some of the GUN players on here NEED to play 500-600 games at a time...it creates records etc that can be bragged about at a later/current date.
BUT when someone starts a "FAST GAME OF FIRST FIVE SIGNED UP" anything, and then proceeds to only move twice in 2 weeks......WHY BOTHER...
take the time to play your own tournaments...it is giving me the Sh--ts....waiting for the smart ones to move :(
sorry but had to say something
Hmm, I don't know BBW, I'll monitor it more closely - I don't have enough experience to see whether that's what's happening. Thanks for the suggestion!
Doesn't the "swap dice" disappear when you have a piece on the bar and can only bring that piece out with one of the dice? Could that be what you are seeing?
Fencer, on some of the regular backgammon games, the option to "swap dice" has disappeared.... that has to be the only explanation for my losses.. ;o)) Could you check that please? Thanks!
- Both players did not perform at least two moves. It can happen when one player loses the game by a timeout at the very beginning.
- You won a game with an opponent whose BKR is significantly smaller than yours. If we would apply the formula exactly, your BKR would have to drop. But BrainKing.com uses the rule that your BKR cannot drop after you win the game, therefore it remains unchanged. The similar rule applies if you lose a game with an opponent whose BKR is significantly higher than yours.
- The game have been defined as "unrated game". Such game is not calculated for BKR.
- The game is a part of a match which is not finished yet. The match is treated as a single game which consists of several sub-games. The statistics (number of won, drawn and lost games) and BKR of both players is changed after the whole match is finished and the result is based on the match result itself, not on the results of its sub-games.
Q Should a time out effect ratings? Reason I ask is a game I was winning (my opinion only lol) was allowed to time out by my opposition. This wasn't credited as a win or loss. Is this always the case, cause it seems unfair in allowing anybody to time out as opossed the losing the game.
