The "Ministry of Love" tortures people.
The "Ministry of Peace" wages war.

"Newspeak" and "Doublethink" are words which express how our minds are conditioned through language.

If you haven't read this book, it is a must read. It is one of the most chilling novels you'll ever read. What is most chilling is not how society is enslaved physically, but how it is programmed psychologically to accept its slavery and to "love Big Brother."
