Subjekt: Chess borders
I've noticed that on various chess games (at least corner chess, fortress chess, dice chess and maharadjah chess) the border is white, while the game is played on a white background. Other chess variants do have the boundary in a non-white colour.

Now you cannot see you're playing a different game than normal chess by just glancing at the border.

I also note that he colour of the border isn't controlled by a style sheet.
