I have just gotten home from our local hospital after having blood taken for diabetes, I waited 1 1/2 hours to have it taken. They are so overworked it isn't even funny...Thank god I don't have tooth decay because it is a 18 months to three years waiting list to see the dentist at the hospital.
Bernice: I wonder if Obama Care covers tooth decay? Among the poorest of children in the US, tooth decay is a huge problem. It's sad. But the problem isn't dental coverage, it's lack of personal care. That happens at home. Dental care is secondary (and important too). But many people simply don't take care of themselves (or their kids) and the rest of us will eventually be asked to pick up the tab.
On the one hand, I want the kids helped. It's not their fault. OTOH, I want people to be told that they have to demonstrate some personal responsibility. Cover kids but adult who are too lazy to take care of their teeth, I dunno. Where does personal responsibility and consequences come into the picture?
