Poor Fencer, as if he doesn't have enough to do we are trying to add more to his work load. :-) Might as well put my two cents in, you players talking about quick games how about this. Have a link called "Fast Blast" What it would be on the main page a player can put his name up to the "Fast Blast" page and the available time he/she has to spend. Quote what game/s you want to play and/or how much time you have. Then whenever you want to get a game going back and forth for a while click on "Fast Blast" see what available people are up and choose someone. Play the game as normal, being you both are online at the same time just each take your turns. Should someone then have to leave they can go and the game will still be there to pick up later. A time limit is mute as your going back and forth anyway, plus say someone with kids had to stop for say five minutes but would be right back. But if you had a link where you could see the people willing to set out a some time to play you could see who they were and get something going. I'm just adding my ideas to the forum, there has already been some good ones.

I find the white background on here very hard to take after a while .. like looking into a blizzard, can we have a colored background? I also find the white captured chess pieces are hard to see when you capture some because they blend into the background checkered cloth

Have you tried to switch to Dark color scheme on your Settings page?

She would like to know.. If you can make some type of designation in the tourney game itself so SHE knows its a tourney game.. I think this is a good idea! I had suggested quick games for the times when there is no one on your player list that is on-line at that moment. It would pass the time til one of your on-line opponents are on-line and you could could invite someone that is "On-line" at that moment. I give it a thumbs up!

Fencer, just in case your list gets too short... ;) How about Freecell for a single player game? On another site they fixed it so you can make a couple of moves, then play your games, and when you get back to Freecell it will be the way you left it. About Ataxx - did you ever get a chance to look at it again from the sites Mom of 2 Brats suggested? It's such a cool game... There are a lot of folks from All Mixed Up here, who miss these 2 games. No hurry, I know you're busy doing an outstanding job running this site, thank you so much!

Are you kidding?!! I tried that when I first came on here and it took way too long! I gave it up in the end, I couldn't keep up on 20 games, now I have 50+ games going I'd never be able to do it!

Would it be possible to have a space to make notes on some of the people we play regually Fencer. As you know not everyone puts all details on there profile because they do not want certain things known, but as you play some people more than others & get to know each other it would be nice to be able to make a note of there names and where they are from etc... so not to keep having the same conversation again and again because we forgot LOL. Just a thought...keep the good work up :-)

I really don't see what it hurts or who it hurts that it was added. I Do NOT see it as a waste.....whether it be a waste of time or a waste of space. From reading the post sounds like Alley Oop is the only one who doesn't care much for it. My advice if you don't like it....don't click on it. Simple as that. I think most have their reasons why they like or dislike it. And probably the reason they like or dislike it are mostly all different. I'm on webtv and it makes things simpler for me. I myself like one click at my finger tips instead of two without waiting for the pages to load each time.

Hey Fencer, you know how you put that number next to waiting games so if you're elsewhere on the site you know when there is a game waiting?
Is it possible to do the same for the message box? When you have loads of games and you're doing 'move and go to next game' you can be stuck in that for an hour or so (at least!) and when you go back to the main page theres a message that needed answering but that player has logged off waiting for you!
It would just be nice to know theres a message there without having to keep checking the main page.

Fencer, I'm having problems seeing my Best RAting positions on the right side of the screen. The checker board design seems to camaflouge it. This may only be a problem because I am on webtv. If it is then I'll learn to adjust. If not then maybe you could change the color to maybe red or something.
