Dont really need help locating IE   LOL   But thanx.
I prefer to use Firefox since its more safe and secure.

My point was, I shouldnt have to use a less secure browser and see adds to join in on the action points.

NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING on the internet will ever make me go back to using that hole and bug infested browser  LOL

Emne: Re:
Baked Alaskan: To be honest i only use Internet explorer to get the points and then convert back to firefox. Yes you are right, it is very unstable at the moment. I had this new pc of mine built whilst i was on holiday, and the guy who built refused to put IE on here, because he said it is rife with picking up allsorts. IE must be actually inn the system, but whether one uses it or not is up to them.

Emne: Re:
Baked Alaskan: when you came to this site and decided to become a member, why did you do that ?
because of the games i guess ?

what has changed about that since then ? nothing i hope ? the games are still there, the site is still there.

there is just something extra which doesnt cost you anything. you can keep using the site exactly as you were used to.
to use the extra feature (action points) an different setting is needed.

now its up to every player to decide if they would rather allow the ads to be able to use this extra feature, or not use the ads and this extra feature but continue with their membership as they did before

the action point contest of last month was mainly about moves being made, the action point contest of this month is mainly about finding and using the secret action

if you dont want the ads, then you wont be able to use the extra (for which you dont pay either), if you dont mind the ads or think the contest if more important (;)) then you can try to find the secret action, or maybe even outdo the secret action by moves alone.

summary:
it doesnt disadvantage anyone who doesnt want to take part in the contest.
it doesnt cost anything, its just a free gesture of fencer (for which in return you are helping him testing the site ;))

so please be nice for another and happy for whatever extras you are getting for no extra charge :)

Sorry, was I not being nice?

Wasnt trying to come off that way.  I love BK and tell everyone I can about the site. have paid for many friends memberships and will be a paying member here till I die.

Was just stating that I (along with other people) didnt think it was right to have to view adds to participate.
Nothing more, nothing less.   Doesnt mean I dont wanna be here anymore

Baked Alaskan: sorry, i wasnt responding directly to you, it was just your message at which i clicked on reply after reading the whole thread. sorry, i should have removed your name.

the contest is a new extra feature which is free and which gives chance to win a prize. thats great! but (as with all contests in life) you have to do something to join the contest. in this case it means you have to turn on your ads to be able to join (and use internet explorer as browser).

it doesnt hurt any of anyones current membership who doesnt want the ads. thats still possible but you cant join the (otherwise free) contest

Emne: Re: Paying members, Ads and Competitions
Hrqls: I quite agree. Paid members pay not to have ads but the competition is NOT what they paid for. The "entry fee" for the competition is to switch ads on. Seeing free entry into the competition as a right in incorrect.
