Fencer there must be bug in system again.I keep getting blown off site ever so often. For last 2 days.Had bad lang in games yesterday to at differerent times:))
Tuesday: maybe if another person was named now for the next interview with questions to be turned in with a nov. 15th deadline and the next person named the first week of nov. with a nov.30th deadline. (in other words overlap the next persons questions so there would be 2 interviews a month), then it would seem like the process would go faster
King Reza: I'm thinking that editing a finished interview might change it in ways that would defeat the purpose of having the interview in the first place. As for adding questions to afinished interview, it'd be hard to say if that's a good idea or not. Maybe it's best to leave it as it is and have the deadline come. That way you can continue on with the next interview or do other things.
Walter Montego:I don't know. I have no control over the posted or waiting-to-be-posted interviews. But I'm sure fencer can add to them. Or maybe he can give me permission to edit them and add to them.
King Reza: There's always the option of adding questions to a finished interview, isn't there? Perhaps dating the newer ones? Or does that ruin the interview?
Tuesday:Well, we can agree on a shorter deadline. One week for people to send questions, one week for the person to answer them and 2 days for Fencer to post it!
Fiona: I would Moderate with help, but Links will allways be a chance you take anyway, as they are with the boards we have. You could have them to your own sites or blogs as you say, or just something that you wish to voice your opinion about.
MadMonkey: good idea MM, a discussion board where people could place links to their own blogs or websites - you can then learn more about BK members if you wish - the only problem would be moderating the links as to ensure they are of a suitable content to be advertised on here
california man: Brainking is very compatible with WebTV! :-D
Click on "Settings" in the main menu. Then go to the "JavaScript" section. (3rd tab, I believe) Be sure everything in that area is shut OFF. If any of it is currently on, that would most likely be your problem.
If that also doesn't help, then go to the part of settings where you can turn off the banner ads, and shut them off. (I believe this is in the first section of Settings).
I will also send you an invitation to the WebTV fellowship!
In have had 4 pm's today from friends who have said that i have disappeared from their friends list, and i have also noticed that some friends of mine have disappeared from my list too, is there a bug??
I have a WEB TV-PLUS unit and it seems to take a long time to load up as compared to other game sites I play at, Are you not compatile to WEB TV units?
Unfortunately there is no removal of inactive players on stairs, yet. I would imagine Fencer will take care of this at some point.
In the mean time, maybe there should me a message on the stairs recommending people check the profiles of people they plan to challenge to see if they are active players first...
jessica: its a stairs game , i guess people get removed from there once they are inactive for so long , is there a stairs discussion board where jessica can find out more ?
It shouldn't be a problem, me my mum, and my dad all play on this computer, although we don't tend to play each other very much anyway... really only to try out new games or if we end up in the same section of a tourney but other than that we don't play each other very often.
emmett: i dont think it will be a problem as there are quite a few users who share the same pc and i have not heard of them having a problem or been accused of cheating
My girlfriend (whom I live with) recently planned a trip to New York and Toronto. She started a BK account so that we could play and chat while she was across the country. Her name on BK is ultramarine. Our first few moves were from the same IP address (our home computer) so that I could show her how the site works. Our subsequent moves were made from different locales. Is there a way to register couples and families who use the same IP address? When she comes back in November I would never want anyone in BK adiminstration to think that I cheat.
WellyWales: Whats the sence of taking them off the charts. They can still play. They can knock down other players BKR's.Just go to WINNERS on your game sheet. You don't have to be a computer expert to figure out who your honest skilled players are and those that are not.
nightmagic: Well the 2 or 3 that you find and upload to your profile, you would be able to use. They can be the same as others, but if I have 3 of my own loaded - lets say all different "wolf" pics, I can't use one of your personal smileys that you have saved.
Lawless: the messages you can type to your opponent. If something goes wrong while you're typing the message and before submiting the move, You'll be able to restore what you had already typed.
I noticed that after making a move and before submitting it, I am informed that something called autosave is disabled. On my settings page, I have the option of enabling it. But what's it for? What is being autosaved?
