BIG BAD WOLF: people have a choice of game sites similar to this one to use. Do people really want to play on one that has a scammer multi nik as a global moderator in charge of their posts and who other moderators are? I mean, look how many people related to Bumble are current moderators. What if they are all really the same person? Is that what we want for this site, a group of multi niks running the discussion boards? Maybe you are a multi nik as well? I have had Bumble moderate me and tell me he was saving the site from my post, now find out he was just a scammer? Is this the type of person we want to trust to help out here? We are told that Bumble is a private person, but he sure didnt prove that by his life on here, did he If I really wanted privacy, I could just play my games and chat a bit and everything would be fine. Nobody forced him to become a global moderator, nobody forced him to scam eveyone with a fake personal interview, did we? Is that the life of a person who wants privacy???? The answer to these questions surley is of public interest and concern to all here on Brainking!

BIG BAD WOLF: LOL, we are both doing the same thing then... I am only responding to a public post that announced Bumble is dead. That same post asked that we not ask any questions right away, when questions were brought up, they were deleted. Now it has been over amonth, and I think it has been plenty of time to hold off on any questions.

Is bumble really dead? How did he die? How about an obituary, or a funeral, or where to send condolences etc? These are all normal questions that we were asked to not ask for a period of time, that time has lapsed.

BIG BAD WOLF: I obviously totally disagree with you.... and there are many more people who agree with me on this one, I can assure of that!
Why are you so anxious for us to "let it go"????? I did not start this, it was all started by a multi nik scammer who faked his death as far as anyone can tell, that is not my fault, dont shoot the messenger, it is a scam that has been purpotrated against me and against everyone on BK, why should those that have been scammed have to look the other way?

You can turn a blind eye if you want to, and you can stay out of it if you want to, take your own advice, dont worry about my business, if you dont want to be involved, then just stay oput of it, and mind your own business! But since you have injected yourself into it, without much posative to contribute, I guess you are just as involved as I am.....

Teema: Please hold any questions about bumble at this time. It is a difficult time. Thank you for your consideration.
...That was well over a month ago. Since that time there has been much speculation, and few answers. Conversation about this topic was asked to be kept to private fellowships or on another web site. e have been told that answers will cme in time, and to be patient, Then we hear that "its all going away" since people have been respectful and avoided asking questions in public. I am here to say that it has not "gone away". We know that Bumble was not who he said he was, not that everyone her is. There is also speculation that the person who played Bumble is not really dead. Not only that, but that he cheated by using multi niks on this site and other sites as well. "Everyone" (people supposedly part of his 'real' family) have been mysteriously quiet on this site with all the controversy surrounding this announcement.

For the general good of this site, and for peace of mind for the many who are concerned, I think it is high time that we clear the air over this subject.

We know that bumble and his daughter and son in law and auntie and wife and housekeeper et al all have and continue to play on other game sites, GT and IYT for examples, why is this the only site that has ever any mention of his death? Why is there no attempt to clear up this controversy? So many unanswered questions, so many road blocks to the truth, but why? Is it good to have such a controversy brewing on BK? Is it good to be told to take conversations to aother web site? Is it a good example for other potential multi niks and scammers to see someone become a global moderator, and have an interview posted etc, and have no consequesnses for these cheating actions?

I know many want this to just go away.... well it is not going away quietly, and the easiest way for it to go away is to clear the air of it all by people who can, but refuse to speak. I know a lot of people who have gathered a lot of anecdotal evidence that Bumble is not dead, and that he stil plays on other sites and maybe is even on this one as well.... its time for the wall to come crumbling down, one way or another.

Stevie: To me, it sounds like you only roll 3 dice until you get your first 6 and you use that roll to put your first player on the board. Then after this only on die is rolled? So if you have no players on the board and you roll 6 6 2 you have to use that whole roll to get your first player on the board, and if it is not possible to make the whole turn, then you lose that turn and try again next turn? Are you saying that if you roll 6 6 2 then you should be able to just use the 6 part to get a player on the board, and if you dont have anymore options after that, then you stay with the 6 roll only and then roll the one die again and continue from there?

agree that since pawns cannot participate in fellowships, there are some subjects which they may be excluded from participating in, ie the "Bumble situation". In that instance they were asked to discuss it on another website. That topic was not allowed here, on public boards, because some found it offensive. The problem is that everything can be offensive to someone, even something as benign as talking about a particular song can offend some. So where does it end? Do we really want these boards to be as pure as the most sensative member among us? Maybe so. But if we do, then we have to be ready to remove a post about a particular song, if it offends someone. If we get to that point, then there will be nothing suitable for the public boards.

I think we all agree it needs to lie somewhere in the middle.... That is where the real problem lies, where is this middle ground? When this decision is left up to the moderators, we have another set of problems. Some boards ie gen chat have many moderators, all with the ability to delete any post they think will offend or that they are personally offended by. Do we really really want posts deleted only because the moderator is offended by a topic? Or only because one reader is offended and comnplains? hat doesnt make any sense either, but thats what it has come down to!
What happens if a moderator is a personal friend of someone being discussed? So they dont allow any posts about that person. hen someone else is being discussed who is not a personal friend of that moderator, so the topic is allowed. This does happen on these boards. Is that how we want our moderators to act?

have plenty more, but it seems like most people probably havent even read this far, so I will end it here......

Stevie: I agree 100%! If you can find time to come on this site you should not have the luxury of auto vacation. Maybe in BBWs example, he could just set a vacation for that day. But this is first and foremest a game playing site, and he should make his first priority making moves in a game, not checking messages. It gets infuriating when people start more games than they can keep up with, and they will be here for hours and only play on the discussion boards and fellowships when hey have games ready to time out. But I guess people can use their vacation days anyway they choose to, and we do have the option of only playing in games that dont allow vacations, so we wont have to worry about people like that!

I think that shows the 20 people with the most brains, but isnt a complete list?

Unless you are a dominant player in some game played here, I dont see any reason to purchase brains to use in a tournament?

I have heard of a winner takes all type tournament, but never one where the top 3 places are paid out but where 2nd place doesnt even get their entry fee back? Not only that, but with no way to detect cheating, why would entry fee tournaments even be fair?

playBunny: LOL, I dont think that using a program on this site is considered cheating....

My initial reaction to this whole new brain tournament system is not a good one. Fencer sells you brains to use in a tournament and then he takes 30% of them away when you join a tournament, and a tournament I just looked at for an example you need o get second place just to break even. So the only logical reason to play one of these tournamnets is if you are sure to win. That will be a good incentive to use a program to play your moves for you, along with the potential to seell these brains for cash. It has shades of illegal gambling, as well as being a big scam!

I know that nobody is forced to join these tournaments, nor purchase brains. But I think many people are going to be naiive about these potential pitfalls....

I guess I never noticed before, but hwen there is a site holiday, for example, shouldnt the times of games just stop going down, or even have 24 hours added to them, instead of just going down, possibly into negative time where they will time out soon after the holiday has finished?

It seems that if I make a move and then leave the site with a 1 day game, and the next day is a site holiday, and my opponent comes on and mover after I am gone, then I should be able to come back the day after the holiday and not have my game timed out. As it is now, I leave and my game times down to zero during the holiday and then times out soon after the holiday is over?

Do I understand this correcty? I am probably just confused on the facts of this one...
