imsoaddicted: the tourney would still run but only if there is enough players so for example, if only 4 people sign up and 1 of them gets removed the tourney would not run, but if 17 signed up and 3 were removed it would still run just with 14 players.
Edited after reading previous post properly lol... Not sure if it's the same for single eliminations you'd have to ask Fencer.
please tell me if a pawn signs up for a single elimination tournament and has to many games will they not be included and also would that mean the tournament wouldnt take place
juls31: All tournaments are listed under the tournaments link on the left side of the main page. You can set parameters and search for a certain type of tournament. When you find one, look at the number of games. If it is single elimination, you need 1. If it is one game for each 2 players, you need 5. If it is two games for each 2 players, you need 10.
Tried this yesterday on BK board, guess I'll try here...On my "Tournaments" page in my profile I've got a couple listed as "Open" that have already come to completion and are now dead in the water...How do I remove them so I don't keep checking to see if I need spaces for future rounds?...anybody?
BIG BAD WOLF: I am talking about tournament games. I can't help it if someone response to my post a week later or more. If you don't like it don't read it. I already know about fisher clock etc now. And from now on I will only play fast tournament games. But I will not play any fisher clock ones as I was once time-out with several games through no fault of mine because this site was not accessable to me. As for this comment "You don't see slow movers comin on here complaining about fast movers moving too fast and making their games time out" You have totally lost me??? 'time-outs'??? I might not like some of your posts but I don't say it.
Teema: Re: taking negatively in fellowships and discussion
crosseyed: I guess being called a slow mover is new form of name calling lol! BigBagWolf I would have though that this was included in (discussion of tournies) My solution to this problem was easy. I just stopped playing in tournies.
crosseyed: I'm not sure what you are trying to acomplish by keeping this up on the tournaments board. I mean Fencer has already introduced Fischer clock games which basicly reward fast movers, plus he has introduced no vacation/weekends, and fixed weekend only games which also help keep the pace up. Heck, you can even make the time limit of a game down to 1 hour. These are all good solutions to people who want to play fast, along with just staying out of tournaments/games which do not have time limits which fit your need. (You don't see slow movers comin on here complaining about fast movers moving too fast and making their games time out.) Simple solution for everyon - just join tournaments that fit your time needs.
Now lets try to get back to talking about tournament:

Rose: Don,t you think talking about it openly is better than talking behind their backs? I hate tournaments that go on for months and months. I always timed out because the tournies were still going on a year later when I was on holiday. I don,t bother wth using vacation time if I time out its not the end of the world. But slow tournies sure are a pain especially for a knight who is only alowed one anyway and can,t join another even if they have lost anyway untill they ask the Boss to remove them. I will shut up now I have had my say.
Allison: If You want just simple link, go to tournament list, brows for Your one, then click right mouse button on it and select 'copy link' or something like that from context menu and paste it here.
crosseyed: I thikn tourneys cover them and mostly thats bad, I joined standard strairs and as pawn i can say that playin with xxx (look at game in my profile) is pain. He do not answer when I ask him (on priv or in game) to play faster, he completly ignore any messages (hi hello gl gg hf thanks) and he do not give up when it's clear that he lost (btw. hes not that strong as his ranking shows in connect 6). I think discussion abou is needed, maybe even here but my request was directed to someone else, who (imo) could msg You about deleting Your posts on priv, if She really wanted 'proper' messages on forum.

Rose: I think slow players deserved to spoken about negatively. And players who takes on far too many games. I think you and few others take things too seriously and need to lighten up a bit. No names were mentioned and deleting my posts because you don't like what I think is rather harsh. Next you will be coming to my fellowship and deleting posts.
crosseyed: Public boards are not for speaking negatively about people, which you did more than once. Please feel free to say anything you want in your own FS. When you start talking negatively, calling people control freaks then you are asked to take it else where and your post will be deleted. Stick to the topic of have your post removed. I have explained that well enough I think so that any more will result in removal or having your post hidden or banned. Yes to your question. I can moderate all boards.

Rose: I am airing my views which I am entitled to. I have NOT spoken out of turn. It is clear to me that people are control freaks on this site. Are you a moderator of this board? Anyone wishing to speak their mind (no dirty talk though) without being penalised or having your posts deleted are welcome to air them on my fellowship board: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
