Bloviating Blog To bloviate is to discourse at length in a pompous or boastful manner; to speak or write verbosely and windily.
Etymology: perhaps irregular from blow To bloviate is to get on one's soapbox and lecture, talk big, sound off, objurgate, talk wildly. A blog is where one would author an online diary or chronology of thoughts. That's what this fellowship is all about.
But inevitably discussion follow. If you're interested in discussions on What Is Truth and other philosophical pursuits, if discussing the impossibility of the actual infinite interests you, or if you want to pontificate about your favorite pet peeve, come join.
if there are any math wizards out there it would be interesting to get your thoughts on actual infinites. My position is that the concept is interesting in theory, impossible as a reality. join up!

Mad April Hare:Sometimes those things happen for no reason but please know that all fellowships are not that way. There are a lot of good people on this site and some really good fellowships so don't give up on them.
I haven't joined many fellowships, but the other day I applied to join one belonging to a youngster on this site. Imagine my surprise at finding my application declined and myself 'banned from this fellowship' with no explanation whatsoever. To say I am offended is putting it mildly. I will think twice before applying to join any more. Perhaps the young gentleman in question (and you know who you are) would be polite enough to give an explanation? I for one take exception to such unprovoked rudeness and now have no intention of joining the fellowship in question, but I feel I am entitled to know why.

hexkid: I found it handy when I was in many fellowships, and different teams on different fellowships - for example, I was in the Halma 8x8 in Home fellowship - so I would set that as default and i could look at that team right away. (and the same for other fellowships)
of course if you are in multiple teams with the same fellowship, it does not help much.
hexkid: If you set it as the main team it will be the one that shows when you goto that fellowship , i think you can pick a differnt one for differnt fellowships .
On a team page, I can set that specific team as "main team". I guess that's for the fellowship and that I can set one main team in each fellowship I belong to.
Questions: a) the "main team" concept is for each fellowship or for the whole BrainKing? b) what's the use of defining a main team?
Marfitalu: You can leave a team of a fellowship and join another any time - even though I think being able to join another team and be part of a challenge for 2 teams should be blocked - and of course when you get matched up with yourself, it should be blocked.
I have jsut been on to WHAM BAMS fellowship , Welly, and one of our challenges is there waiting to be accepted, but its hilighted, does anybody know why its highlighted
WellyWales: Yes, it should show up - you can actually look at the other fellowship's main page and see what team matchs are waiting - some fellowships let them pile up (maybe an inactive BIG BOSS or captain)
Hi everyone, I would like to welcome you all to join the Slow Time Controls fellowship! Play as fast as you and your opponent like, but know that you have lots of time to move if you need it. If you can only come on once a week you won't need to take vacation days!
I like the new feature in the fellowships which show which players have not been active in the past 30 days.
Plus I'm not sure how long this has been here, but I also like the ability to remove players from a team - where I remember a time the only way to do that was to remove them from the fellowship.
To all BK MEMBERS (Old & New). I have now returned to Madland, after a year of hassles (many thanks to TexasToest & Fiona for looking after it). We seem to have lost quite a few members, which i can understand over the time. So now its time to start recruiting again. So anyone wishing to join or re-join Monkeys Swinging Madhouse and join the Teams and Tournaments just have a click HERE .
