Plus he/she can put anyone on the enemies list. I don'r see how the Flame Pit is hurting the BK. You don't have to read what's being said there and you'll be just fine. Stop trying to raise people.

Backoff, floosie has her questions and is pondering the best way to answer them!

That reminds me, I did see the discussion about how people are chosen, I didn't have time to reply at the time - sorry.
Up to now I guess it has been me and Fencer who has decided, but I'm open to new ideas of how to choose someone. Someone mentioned a poll, that would be good but how would a short list be chosen for people to vote on?

Anyone that joins gets warned up front what the manner of uncensored discussion is. Please explain to me where this is comming from. I'm really tired of seeing this nonsense all over the site.

Because of the uniqueness of this site,(anything goes) I think it needs some type of special intervention.

I do not even believe the Big Boss realizes the damage it does to BK and if he did I honestly think he would reconsider his ground rules.

ClayNashvilleTn: It's not breaking any BK rules, the only time it even comes close to it is when people take stuff from there and bring it onto the public boards. None of the members there do that.

In reply to your question: "is it not possible for Mgmt to at least require a rule that no one is to make up false and erroneous information without them being a part of the f/s?"

This would be very difficult to do. If actual names weren't used, people would get around that by nick-names or descriptions.
The person being talked about would have to find out about any information posted about them in a fellowship - and then who can tell if something is false or not? Its a very difficult request to honour, even if these rules were in place.

I would like to have an open discussion about the merits of the Flame Pit.

I know it's taboo to even mention rules enforced by Mgmt upon a f/s, but I believe the future of BK is being Jeopardized.

When a group of people are given and encouraged to have free run and anything goes including the bashing of Fencer, Globs and Mods and attacking innocent members behind their backs with lies and false and made up information something is badly wrong.

In this severe case of gross misconduct is it not possible for Mgmt to at least require a rule that no one is to make up false and erroneous information without them being a part of the f/s?

shagglbrox: yup, all current games & tournaments - Plus any "next rounds" in tournaments will all start and continue.

Like Bry said, no new games.

PLUS - NO MORE POND MOVES - so if you are in a pond, you will not be able to make any moves.

Subject: Re:
Antje: You don't get 18 hours for each move.

You start with a TOTAL TIME "pool" of 18 hours.

Take an example with NO BONUS

You start with 18 hours to make your first move - you take 8 hours.

The game comes back to you, you now have a "pool" of 10 hours to make your next move. Lets say you take 5 hours to make this move.

The game will then come back to you with only 5 hours to make your next move.

18. July 2005, 17:12:35
Antje
ok, so if i went to bed and game back 12 hours later and the time is an 18 hour limit, i shouldnt have timed out. i was gone 12 hours and the minimum is 18, why did i time out? i understand the added bonus, but this is a negative, i lost 6 hours.

Subject: Re: time outs
Antje: Looks like the games were with the new Fischer's clock

Time: 18 hours, Bonus: 6 hours, Limit: 30 days

So it means you started with a time pool of 18 hours. Lets say for example you wait until 1 hour is left in your time pool.

When the move is sent back to you, your time pool of 1 hour gets an additional 6 hours (BONUS) - bringing your new time pool for the game to 7 hours.

Subject: time outs
i think something is wrong with the time out feature. ive timed out on 3 games (or 4) in the last 2 days, and i never leave less than 1 day of time. i went to bed at 11pm est and my game with the least amount of time was 1 day 8 hrs. i come here exactly 12 hours later and i find messages for 3 time outs, and the game time is 18 hours. can someone help me explain? is there something i dont know about the fischer time controls?
