hey hey hey. Buble congratulations. I know when someone has two kids, they're called twins but don't know what you call them if they're three!

Little nice babies. How sweet. Give them a kiss for me.

A huge 'THANK YOU' to everyone that sent their good wishes to panda, myself and our new baby girls.
As you can appreciate, I don't have enough time to reply to everyone individually at the moment - so I hope this reaches everyone.
Thanks, guys, it means a lot and I'll convey all your sentiments to Krista and the girls - Cristyn, Bethan and Siân. All are doing extremely well and will be home, hopefully, around the middle of January.
Necessity, they say, is the mother of invention so I'm going to drape saddlebags over the computer monitor and deposit 1 girl in each bag and have the other in one arm - leaving one free hand for the mouse.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Did you guys get that nasty freezing rain like we did up here Rod? I saw a few flipped over cars today, not much fun! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to BrainKing and most of Europe by now.
Hope the first half of the world is having a great year so far (especially that part that has been through a lot these past few days)
Votes for the other half to have a great year as well.

As for BrainKing votes of lots of new games, lots of new features and lots of things... except bugs

And now, off to prepare for my own New Year which will be in about an hour

Czuch Chuckers: (If one is a Glob as well as a Mod and they are not here.... see my point?)

yes, I see your point. however, if the glob is not a mod on the board that needs help, what is the difference? There are more than one Glob for that reason.

Gee, I didn't know there was a board for outdoor enthusiests. What is its name? I have to admit that I really don't read all the boards..... not enough time in the day for the real world as it is. LOL!

Eriisa: Globs are there for when a mod isn't available. Nothing more than that.

If one is a Glob as well as a Mod and they are not here.... see my point? If you are not here to moderate your board and a Glob needs to fill in, but you are also the Glob, that doesnt help much.... I thought the reason for having multiple Mods was so there would be 24/7 coverage anyway, why then do we need Globs? I mean some boards already have 5 moderators, why do you also need a roaming Glob too, if their only purpose is to fill in when a Mod is not around?

Plus I have stated before If the purpose for multiple MOds is to insure 24/7 coverage why do some boards have 3 or more people all from the same time zone?

OKa, maybe I wil have to move this to the rants fellowship now :)

Sounds to me like Czuch wants a go at it.

Bry's right. Globs are there for when a mod isn't available. Nothing more than that.

Czuch - Good idea re moderators/Global Mods. However, GC is the only board I actually moderate. Just because I have the facility to use on other boards doesnt mean I use it and step on the toes of the boards current moderators. In fact, I've only used it once - on this board actually - and left any further action to Harley/Not a Floosie as the boards moderators. I just happened to be online and was able to hide some posts whilst the moderators for this board were not online.

If this was the case, and the Global Mods started getting involved with banning etc - would this be seen to be stepping on the toes of the boards moderators?

My opinion is that if there are any new moderators they should just be added to the moderator list.

Do you have anyone in mind Czuch? Who you think may be worth considering/is interested in giving it a go?

I would like to see all of the moderators removed -- and on the other side all of the users acting (at least mostly) as adults. I'm glad to be able to read/write in Czech, because I feel the moderation (censorship!) only in the English discussion boards. :-)
