Brainkings Future: This is in reference to questions or comments about the future of brainking and what it might look like in the future.

So...what is the future of BK if it continues with slowness problems, mods and globals that have been here for years leaving their positions, and a site owner that appears to be rude to the people supporting him?

I'm not sure that the speed of the site is the bigger issue here. My guess is that it is absolute rudeness to the people that have supported this site through the years so that it could grow and become the place that it is.

And, I'd like to give a big thank you to Fencer for finally acknowledging in his blog, the fact that the Globals and Moderators are, and have been a big part of making this site what it is. It's nice to finally be recognized.

Sorry...I just have to laugh.

It's not like BBW or anyone else is getting any extra benefits from helping out the site.  They are doing it of their own free will, and time.  If there is anyone here that is a paying member and would like to help out the site in some way, feel free to let any of the Globals know.  There are always boards that come up that need moderators or co-mods.  We ask and ask sometimes and all we get are the people that have caused problems.  Obviously, they wouldn't be much help if they have already made enemies here and continue to attack them, or have their own little groupies that choose to prey on others.  Reasonable people are always considered when something opens up.

Ok everyone, let's get this board back to what it was meant for. A discussion is one thing, unfounded accusations naming a person or a group of people is quite another and don't belong on this board.

Thank you.

It is unnecessary to carry this conversation any further on this board. Thank you.

Mook, I grew up in the USA to, as many here have. Most of us here choose to respect others. This is a privately run site with public access, so it has rules for those to choose to use it.

The conditions of use are fairly simple on the public boards. Respect other people and don't use language that would be unacceptable with children around.

If you choose to disrespect others or use unacceptable language on the public boards, chances are pretty good that you are going to be put on hide or banned from the boards. That goes for everyone, and is just the way it is here. This is a family site and the public boards are monitered closely.

If you should choose to upgrade and purchase a membership, I think you will find that there may be some fellowships you would enjoy if you like this type of activity is what you are looking for.

Walter Montego: Thank you for your opinions, prospective and feelings. I appreciate you removing Ugh's post as it was discussed by moderators and put on hide.

Truthfully, I thought long and hard about removing your entire message. However, I also feel that are a valued member here, you deserve to be heard; even though this public board is probably not the best place for your message.

The Global Moderators were put in place by Fencer so that he could concentrate on working on the site. We are here to try and take care of the problems so he can. Not everyone is going to agree or be happy with things that are done here by the Moderators or Global Moderators. We all understand that, and try to do the best that we can.

Should there ever be any issues regarding things that you or anyone feels were done unfairly, they should be brought up privately and not on the public boards. If you have issues with any of the moderators, or Global Moderators, there are always others that you can go to in order to be heard. If you feel that you would like all of the Globals to hear your feelings, just send your message to any one of them and ask them to put it on the Globals board. It will be seen and will be discussed. And for the record, we don't always agree either, but we are willing to listen.
