pauloaguia: I do not see why someone in the states should have to send me (in England) money, it may as well go straight to Fencer

There was until a while ago a list of people in various countries, where what you suggest could be done making it easy. Sadly, that is now gone. They have not got a PayPal account for a valid & personal reason, yet because of this they can not get there membership, and so leaving, because no one has the time to help them with there problem.

i have done my bit, keeping them here, even paying for them to try out membership, maybe i should just buy there Black Rook for them as well

Yes, it would probably be just as expensive to send the money to Fencer in that situation then... or maybe you know some other member in the states that could help them out too (and is trustworthy of course)

Yesterday, there were 2 red numbers beside Waiting games, one for Single Player games & one for Team ones
Team one seems to have gone

Purple: Fencer will not allow Bosses to unless they are Captains of those Teams

Crazy when Bosses can do exactly the same within a Fellowship, by clicking on the link in the Team box (Create new public team challenge) and creating one for a Team there, but you can not from the Waiting Room.

I wish i knew the difference

MadMonkey: I'd even prefer any tem member to be able to see those waiting matches. A Team captain may not always be alert or insterested... but if some of the team members point out that a new match is open that they would like to take part in, the captain may accept the challenge after all...

Subject: Re:
pauloaguia: That is what i envisaged when i thought of the idea.

I just wanted a place where i (as a Big Boss), could put public Invites (which i can through the Fellowship, but not via the Waiting Room, crazy) and also accept them on behalf of my Captains. I am here a LOT more than all my Captains, and it would be nice when a challenge is posted to be able to see it & accept it rather than having to wait until my Captain logs in.

As you say not all Captains are alert enough or interested enough to keep up with things like this, and all Team members as well should be able to see the invites.

Subject: Re:
A. I can understand why Fencer does not want to let a BIG BOSS create fellowships since it might confuse the system - for example, MadMonkey - lets say you decided to join the Random Team in my fellowship since there are plenty on the team in your fellowship, and I made you captain. When you go to the Open team tournaments, and you hit "create" - does the system create one for your fellowship or the team you captain?

I think the good compramise would be to let both Captains & BIG BOSSes create & accept open challenges - BUT if that situation comes up where a person is both, CAPTAIN will always "win" against BIG BOSS - so if that situation came up, you would always be acting as a captain. Not sure how much extra that would take to program it, but if not much - that is what I would like to see.

B. I agree with letting everyone know what team challenges are open in the waiting room - even if they are not captain or BIG BOSS. Seeing what is available might (1) get a player to talk to their captain to accept the challenge, and (2) might get some on a team so they can play against the challenge.

coan.net: I do understand what you are saying, the same as what Fencer said

BUT why can not we just have a simple selection box, like we already have when creating normal Waiting Games. Where we can select what Fellowship we are selecting it for or creating one for......simple really

Subject: Re:
coan.net: Am I to understand that the Big Boss can not only not post the team to the waiting room but can not even see if there are challenges up there? That would explain why I hit "teams" and get "none available." This is unfortunate.

Subject: Re:
Andersp: That's terrible! I just made 20 moves in that time... By the way: I played around a bit, and had the feeling that the time it takes to make a move is also determined by your current goto-option. It seems to be pretty fast when I have it set to "go to the next game", and it seems to take much longer when I have "go to the next game of this type" for instance. This might be a random observation, but I could imagine that the database lookup for the latter option is taking longer (perhaps because there is no index that combines timeout date and game type...). Anyone had the same experience or was it just a coincidence?

joshi tm: Many many thanks to Fencer for that alternate Logik piece set. At last I will be able to play Logik without writing everything down on paper

Well, if I wanted to be nitpicking, I would say that I can hardly distinguish the new green from the yellow, and that I have tried to explain in the discussion boards why letters would have been a bit better than numbers. But that is of no importance compared to the new Logik pleasure I am about to enjoy !

By the way, the team tournament waiting room is a nice improvement to. After 2006 was a year of terrific improvements and I must say that I was a bit disappointed by 2007, this makes me very optimistic about 2008
