Subject: How is this possible?
I had Chess game (#3888398) where opponent was to time out today in a losing position (move #30). The game is now vanished without a trace!! Not on my games in progress or in my completed games (win, lose, or draw). Can someone please explain?

Can you leave the games lost the way it is, as that does not move either LOL :o)

There are no errors in log files. But I will write a script to recalculate all stats regularry.

lol - I am glad you mentioned that Steve. I noticed it on my total wins yesterday after Caoz posted his wins, it never seemed to change, but has today.....hmmmmm

Ive won a couple of games today and even though bkrs and ratings change etc, not all have made my Wins total change. they have been rated and counted games etc.

12. August 2004, 14:01:23
Fencer
Yes, it can be changed in this way.

Subject: Do we need this page ? lol
Fencer: When we take a game out of the Waiting room we get a red 'You have accepted the game invitation' message at the top of our main page.
Could we not just get a simular message when sending a game invite rather that going to a page saying:
New game has been successfully created.
You can find the list of all games you have created on the main page at Your invitations waiting for response table.
Return to Main page.
There seems to be no real need for that page if we could just have a message at the top of the Main page.

Can anybody point how to define vacation days ?

But the last game you won brought your total won games to 2. Your opponent had already won 3. Which made them the overall winner of the 5 games.

11. August 2004, 02:18:17
Dolittle
However, I did win that last game but it went to my opponent..oh well!!

11. August 2004, 01:30:43
harley
LOL no worries, easy mistake to make.

11. August 2004, 01:24:12
Dolittle
Duh! I looked again harley and it was a 5 games match, not a 5 wins match!
Thanks for your help anyway!!

11. August 2004, 01:21:39
Dolittle
Yes, it's right! All other 5 wins matches that I have played mean exactly that. You must win 5 games to be declared the winner...not 3.

11. August 2004, 01:13:31
harley
Are you sure the match ID is right? Match 15991 shows a game that doesn't have you as a player!

Modified by harley (11. August 2004, 01:11:18)
Dolittle, game ID 417315 shows that your opponent won 3 games, and you won 2. So overall your opponent is the winner.

*edited to add* it was a 5 games match, which means you play 5 games, and whoever wins the most games, wins overall.

Fencer, I was playing a 5 wins match of backgammon and won the sixth game but it was given to my opponent and also the match with 3 wins. Is this a bug and would you fix it please.
Game ID 417315
Match ID 15991

I've been kind of distracted lately... since when are our own ratings appearing in the Waiting Games page, by the game type?

Steve as much as we would love Web code to be proper english it was originally made for the understanding of American english. SO if you make a centre tag it wont work unless you spell it center. Sighhhh.. Should be universal huh?

10. August 2004, 16:16:05
Stevie
nope, full of American English and they cant spell properly LMAO center should be spelt centre LOL

You have 9 months left of your current Brain Knight level. If you pay for a new Brain Rook membership now, I will add, say, 6 extra months to this membership as a compensation for the rest of your previous membership.

10. August 2004, 15:10:29
Niki
sorry, but could you explain that more for me please ? quite possible I'm just being a bit thick today, but... :0)

10. August 2004, 15:04:26

The rest of your knight membership will be used to extend your new rook membership.

Subject: upgrading membership question
If I were to upgrade to rook membership, what happens to my existing knight membership ? would it just revert to my time left as knight when rook expired ??
As I have knight until next May, how does this work please ?

Fencer or whoever knows for sure: Do you lose the same amount of points if you resign rather than play the game out? Or do you lose less when you resign over playing it out? There is no way to check as once one of them is choosen, cannot take it back and try the other way.

9. August 2004, 20:22:38
Fencer
I see :-)
Btw, bwildman didn't probably mention it but he had ordered 5 (in words, FIVE) BrainKing T-shirts at once. That's what I call THE SUPPORT! :-)
