Subject: Hanging up the old finger.
I would like to thank "whathefuh4", (Mary Lou and Natasha), for the kind words. It certainly has been a pleasure playing with such wonderful people --- but the time has come to hang up the old finger. Time to hit the road. Take off the old cleats. Find a new strawberry patch; but while you can lead a horse to water, you can't make him lie on his back and float. So I'm almost just going to say it certainly has been a pleasure playing with such wonderful people.

Been thinking about playing left-handed under a different pseudonym. Something like "gazortinplatt" or something like that. ~~~say no more~~~ "Live long and prosper"

Your friend,

seldom

I did see something on YouTube as well, where they interviewed World Champion Magnus Carlsen (and other Chess Masters) about the film, and the games played in it. That was very interesting

Fencer: as a former avid chess player, I very much like it. The speed was perfect as it allowed time for quick analysis yet kept the game moving.

__chess__: I prefer my own solution, which is also fully automated - just input the game IDs and let the engine do the rest. By the way, if I had the same attitude (there are other game sites, why to create a new one?) 19 years ago, this site would not exist.

Furthermore, this is just a PoC (proof of concept) and there are endless possibilities to improve the former idea.

MadMonkey: Yeah, I thought it might be better to choose a game which I didn't lose. However, the video generator is quite CPU-consuming, so I don't think we would ever add something like "create a game video" functionality to BrainKing. Maybe as an external service in the future.

If that is made a part of BrainKing, will it have pause and backward play?

Modified by Fencer (3. March 2021, 12:38:28)
I created a simple application that takes a PGN file (chess notation) and generates a MOV video to replay the game. It's just a side project, something like a programming exercise.

This is a sample output from the BrainKing database: https://youtu.be/OA73wSwNbHE

Any feedback would be appreciated. (Too fast? Too slow? Some info missing?)

Hi, I'm asking this for someone who lost her password. has anyone here ever gone through this?

The form on the login page says: "Did you forget your user name or password? Use this form and the link to your password change page will be sent to your e-mail." but the form asks only for an email? I don't see the logic
