How do I get the Best Rating and best BKR turned off my front board? I have so many games and I have to scroll so far to get to my games and ponds.
I looked on settings and didn't see it. Unless it was there and I missed it.
Thank You

Eriisa: One post? Why do you think it will be restricted to one post? Do you think the proposed rule change for Turkish checkers was the very first time a rule change was suggested? And that it never happens again? Furthermore, your suggestion was to, and I quote you:

if there is a hot topic running on the board, that a general notice could be posted on here so that non-readers of a category board could know about it.

That to me doesn't suggest ONE post. It suggest that anytime someone thinks there's a "hot topic" running on a board, it's fine to post messages pointing to the topic on other boards.

And yes, a game is a feature. What do you imply with that? That all the postings on the dozens of boards dealing with the various games should be made here? Including the posts of the board you no longer wish to read (the Ludo board)? And I guess the "Feature requests" board is redundant as well.

Why not just cancel all the other boards, and just post everything here? It's all happening on "brainking.com" anyway....

AbigailII: I am not saying Spam the boards! This is the BrainKing board to discuss its structure, features and future.

Is not a game a feature? I don't have time to read every board on the site so all I was saying is an announcement here that a discussion about the rules on a game on another board is not totally out of line.

Now a 2 week discussion about whether a ONE POST announcement should be allowed is becoming just a bit over the top. So I will not say anymore about it.

Subject: Re: new board ?
Eriisa: Eh, no, that doesn't make sense at all. Then all the boards would be cluttered with message "Hot topic on board XXX!".

If you want to know about threads on the Ludo board, you should read it (or view the RSS view). I'm not interested in many boards, but I am interested in this board. However, if this board would be cluttered with messages about hot topics on other boards, then I would no longer read this board. And then when there's a hot topic on this board, you would have to post it on the other boards so I can learn about them....

Subject: Re: new board ?
Hrqls: That's like I love playing Ludo but I never go to the Ludo Board (anymore, that is). So it would make sense to me, that if there is a hot topic running on the board, that a general notice could be posted on here so that non-readers of a category board could know about it.

In the Turkish Checkers situation, I assumed that would happen. So in that case, Hrqls re-directing the conversation to the Turkish Board is an expected move.

(the dutch word 'lol' means 'fun' :))

i think there might be too many boards already .. personally i am perfectly fine with a board per game type or as it is right now

people who liked the discussion about the rules of turkish checkers though didnt find it on the checkers board so i assumed they might want to have a separate board for discussions about game rules, as i think thats more important than the ordinary chats about the games on those boards, but i guess they dont need it either :)

Subject: Re: new board ?
Hrqls: Ya, it is a categorical question to me too. For example: If I want to search for the word extrapolate on BrainKing, I'll soon have the idea to suggest to create a board exclusively for the word extrapolate. That way I wont have to invest a lot of time to find the word. With the possibilities of today (you know, hyperlink and stuff), everyone could choose the order he likes. I personaly would favorize the opption to have boards for each single word, that means a wordboard for the word "word". A thatboard for the word "that". A thatboardboard for the word "thatboard", and so on. Do you think that makes sence? The basics of Internet can put all in each favorized order. ...?

gogul: i like to have things a bit categorized (is that an english word ? ;)) people who are interested in sports but dont play any can go to the sports board to read about it, it doesnt have to posted on this board which is about brainking in general

i admit that gamerules of games on brainking are in a grey area wether they belong more on the game board itself or on the board for the specific game .. after all the posts about turkish checkers on all boards i had to direct it to the appropriate board and hope something like this wont happen again in the future :)

this is just an observation; but,  for the names of the team torunaments,  wouldn't First Contact be better for the game of Assimiliation since the main enemy was the Borg?  Resistance is futile.  You will be assimiliated!

Subject: Re:
Fencer: Hi Fencer. When a player has two possibilities to capture a pawn, with a pawn and with a king at the same time, the program forces to capture with the king. Players (experienced or not) has no chance to select to capture with the pawn. This is a bug. To clarify all the rules of Turkish Checkers, we have prepared and submitted an article about Turkish Checkers in Brainrook site with my user. Would you please confirm to publish it, so everyone can access and read whole rules of the game. There are many board bitmaps displaying related rules examples. When you will find time to fix these items, it is better to check and test the implementation of the rules with this document. We also understand that your work load is heavy with this nice sites support issues. Therefore, if it is within the principles, we are also ready to help to work with your team to fix, implement and test these rules, even at the programming level.

Thanks for your efforts.
