February 2003, 21:59:38 Subject: fencer..I think this idea may be ok y/n? hi fencer..great site..great game variations to try..the site is not slow on webtv..2 good features..I tried to send you an idea I had by email if this is a dp..ignore one.how about "crowded backgammon"..a variation..setup just the standard board..but with an extra 5 blots for each players on the bar at the start.only rule change = on a players move..removal of blot from bar is optional,can move a blot not on the bar..what do you think?
also - provisional BKR's in italics are hard to differentiate from BKR's esp on webtv..maybe a diff text color would be easier for us all.would not be a dificult prg change.is it worth the trouble,all welcome to comment. 12. February 2003, 02:44:08 Subject: Re: fencer..I think this idea may be ok y/n? another gammon variation, actually a variant on race, is called Greek Backgammon (quite possibly know by other names) It is essentially the same as race excepting when you hit your opponents pip, it is not sent to the bar but is held there for as long as you leave the pip covering it in place. Its a lot of fun don't know how difficult it would be to set up. I have never seen it on another website. 13.
