Subject: The dragon
I don't think I like the dragon! I thought it was neat the first time I saw it. (Of course, I at first thought I was losing my mind, lol) But yeah, it seems to stop the links it crosses from working. I DEFINITELY don't like it on the game pages! Maybe if it was only on the log-in page, or AT MOST the "Main Page".

rod03801: But the dragon doesn't go over any links. It just flies over the castle top, where there's nothing to click. Even if I scroll the page down, the dragon simply disappears from my browser's view, flying in a no link zone...

pauloaguia: Ahh.. it probably matters which style you use. The style I use has the links starting right at the top of the page where the dragon flies. Every single one it crosses, stops working after it crosses it.

rod03801: I've tried switching to castle, clicking on any page (to activate the dragon) and then switchingback to simple style. The dragon still appears (since the source code has been created while I had the castle style) and the dragon flew by many many links (I was at the translator tool). They all work... Maybe it's a bug in the browser you're using...

Ifso many people are having problems with it, then I'd assume they're using a personal stylesheet. Apparently, in this case the code for the castle is still being assumed, since I can only see the HTML for the dragon when castly stylesheet is selected. Maybe Fencer forgot to exclude personal stylesheets as well...

Fencer: It's good to see a feature that finally bares no complaints from Opera users, unlike from other browser(s). It works perfectly in Opera

pauloaguia: Maybe it's just BBW's style, because I saw him mention it too. It seems to slow down my cursor in these text boxes too.
Please give us a way to shut it off!

rod03801: I think I figured it out.

Even though we use my own .css file, in settings, the choice is still set to castle.

Choose the "No Font" option. Since you are still using a .css file, it will still show up the same, but the buggy dragon will no longer be there. Wow, what a waste of a day tracing this bug.....

BIG BAD WOLF: If i understood correctly, the only way to shut off the dragon is by selecting the "No fonts" option. Am I correct?

I didn't exactly understood who put the dragon in (I would have imagine it coming from either Fencer or Liquid, but I don't quite follow why Pauloguia made a comment where it sounded like it was him. The reason for this question/comment is that I find it bad that things just pop up for no particular reason and that the only way to eliminate it, is by deselecting most of the design. This makes all the work put into the design as somewhat of a waste, as due to some annoying thing, one prefers to get rid of it, even at the price of just turning the design into its simplest mode.

The reason it annoys me, is actually not its flying. The reason is that in the browsers window, a "loading" message starts showing a loading message in the bottom part of the window. It's distracting from what one is currently doing (moving, thinking, writing messages). It kind of feels like somebody is poking you while being only (characteristically of annoying people or kids :-) ).

Anyway, I just wanted to add my comment with regard to the Dragon. Cheers!

and... the first thing that appeared after changing to the "no-fonts mode" was.... yes... The dragon! Any help on how to get rid of it? I'd appreciate it very much!

P.S. The fact that the dragon appears here as well pretty much nullifies my previous comment...

TeamBundy: Using a Firefox 1.0.7 is not a good idea anyway. You should upgrade to 2.0, at least for security reasons.
But don't panic - I am just putting the dragon to the CSS layer completely, so it will be associated only with the Castle style in all aspects. And it's the cleanest solution, even from the programmer's point of view.

pauloaguia: A feature is something that does something - makes something better - this has no effect other then a little "flash" - nothing I would call a feature - a bug since he did not program a way to turn if off BEFORE he introduced it. It reminds me when redesigning our Hot Air Balloon website, I had all these little hot air balloons floating on the screen - it was REALLY cool. But even though it was really cool and worked very well for my browser, I did not realize that it messed some people up to the point that they were unable to see the site. Looking back, I know the extra fun "flash" for the site, I should have made it an option to turn on/off. Anyway, I'm babbleing now....
