Subject: Does Brainking have some flaw that only attracts unreasonable people to register here, or that attracts mostly unhelpful, selfish types of people?

srnity:Actually, I have found many users here to be most friendly and helpful. Bear in mind that like attracts like.

srnity: its not that BK attracts these types - its the online environment that makes people feel like they are untouchable, powerful, and releases the inner jerk. The discussion on "moderating by the moderators" is the prime example. In real life we dont have moderators going around and editing conversations or banning people from conversing in public. Instead we have morals and the ability to choose who we interact with. Here - we have those that take advantage of the public boards to ignore what others find decent and we need these moderators to balance the lack of our ability to walk away. Thats why I volunteered to be a co-mod on this board - Id love to help Fencer and the global mods keep this site a friendly place to play and have fun.

redfrog: I'm sorry, I don't take things very seriously here, I just see this place as a "gamesite", not real-life.....Work is work, play is play.....I just thought the above referenced sentence was priceless is all.....if I have to be in a BK "category", I guess I'd rather be in the "unreasonable, unhelpful, selfish" one.......Not to say that most Mods don't do a good job, but there are a couple who tend to lean towards their own "dictatorship" roles, as if this site is it's own country or whatnot

And to the Mods who do treat the general public (adults and/or children) in a friendly, kind, polite, and professional manner - Go You, you make Fencer's site worth coming back to
