Creepy Old Man: I used it on mine and I use clicker on new dogs I train for others...it really does give the dogs INSTANT feedback.....you can pick up a clicker at Petsmart for a couple bucks...
you can find different things on youtube but I kind of think this one is funny how he trains the lady here,lol...if you have any questions feel free to ask :)
anastasia: I have a book and several clickers. I started a bit of training with the older pup (6 months old now) and just am getting her used to the clicker. I click once and then offer a treat (as per the book). From what I've read, they use this system on dolphins (with a whistle but same principle). I have a lot to learn.
I tried the first exercise but it didn't work. I think the dog was distracted so I'm trying again later. It was supposed to get the dog to follow it's tail in a circle but maybe I was doing something wrong.
OldFartNamesArt: does she know the "watch me" command? I ALWAYS start with that with my dogs before going into any other command....even on trial day..I will say...."Niki,watch me" then when I have her attention I say "foose" and we start heeling
(hide) If you want to play a game with an opponent of a similar level, you can define a required BKR range for a new game invitation. Then nobody with a BKR outside this range will be able to see/accept it. (Katechka) (show all tips)
