Nothing wrong with humour but MidnightMcMedic called a halt to prevent off-topic conversation dragging on and swamping tournament news and discussion.

How do i get to be in a Tournament.I'M new to this game site

NOT a floosie
Pawns are allowed to join one tournament. You can see what is available by clicking the tournament section. It changes all the time.

Upgrading to a membership allows you to play in more than one tournament. You can see the different types of memberships available on the paid memberships section. There are a lot of advanges to having a membership.

Glad to have you here. Good luck in your games! :o)

there is no such thing as discrimination on a game site....check out the main page...Fencer has spoken....ask the creator...there will always be a legitimate excuse for exclusion ROFLMBO

The team which won the most games is not the team that won the tournament. (Congrats to the winners by the way)

TEAM TOURNAMENT REQUESTS:

Would love to see a second Spider Line4, along with a fast and/or small Espionage team tournament.

.... and if board, another Dark Battleboat Team tournament would be cool also. (1st one is almost over.)

I have been watching the games on and off, and I have been interested in many of the ideas I have seen. I want each of you to look at how much GC (Gothic Chess) is being played – and some of the good ideas that are being used in the games.

--on Apr 03-2005, we have these currently running tournaments…

Committee Gothic—Rex Nihilo, 4 players--Committee Gothic CrossTable

Ides of March—Ed T., 4 players.-- CrossTable

GC Xmas Giveaway—Ed T., 18 players--Crosstable

Middle Gothic—Tony H, 7 players--Crosstable

Under 1700 Ratings (Intermediates)—GC—Tony H, --CrossTable

GC $500.00 Ist prize, Free to Enter—Ed T., 57 players--CrossTable

GC Tournament under 1900 BKR—PawnMe, 8 players--Crosstable

Remembering Jestone—Bwildman, 15 players--CrossTable

2004 third quarter Open #1 GC—Walter Montego, 14 players--CrossTable

Shooting Fish in a Barrel GC—Bwildman, 16 players--CrossTable

Greenknight’s first GC Tourney—Greenknight, 9 players--CrossTable

March Medley—Nirvana—4 players-- CrossTable

That’s a lot of games, folks. That means that there are a lot of stories to tell. I would like to hear some of them. If you are playing in one of the games, post your side of the story—tell us about your favorite win, loss, or struggle. Any thoughts?

ALL games for dummies #8

Well you don't have to be a dummy to enter this tournament, but is a GREAT tournament for us that like to play games.... but maybe just not as good in a certain game - OR, a GREAT way to learn a new game!

  • For players rated 1500 or under
  • For unrated players (but don't enter if you are an expert)
  • All Games!
  • Start date: April 10
  • ... and yes, I will be removing players from the tournament about a day before the tournament starts that is WAY over the 1500 limit to keep it fair for everyone.

    Good luck to all!

Oh, yea - maybe a link to the tournament would be good:

    Subject: Days per move
it should be changed to Days per Tournament. This is really frustrating to wait and wait and wait for someones's move and than wait and wait again.
It should state let's say 12 days for tournament
or 3 days or whatever. If I like it I join it, if I have no time to play I can choose 30 days tournament.
Please change it. It doesn't make sense.

    Subject: Re: Days per move
Origami: When you click on the tourney details it does tell you how many days per move in each tourney. That way you know if it's going to be 3 days per move of more and you can decide if you want a slower tourney or faster one!

Thanks, but it doesn't change my opinion. Tournaments should be more dynamic since there are many people involved in this event. It's fine with individual games, but tournament should have it's own rhytm ...
