No , I don`t think your ideas are good !
basic because this is so far out of the ground soul of backgammon as you could get.
Let backgammon be backgammon and stop make new game out of a already great game !!

If you want to play a game with an opponent of a similar level, you can define a required BKR range for a new game invitation. Then nobody with a BKR outside this range will be able to see/accept it. (Katechka)
