Would Fencer perhaps agree to the establishment
of a "Complaint Dept." DB where everybody could
speak their mind unfettered by restraints of corrupt
and biased moderators ? Heard some folks would
be glad to lend their services to such an endeavour ... >8) ~*~

Kevin: maybe i'm just talking about the page that has the list of tournaments on it, or the main page with the red numbers, whenever theres a new tourney posted, it should show up on the main page as "1 new"
not (49)
u see?

could someone look at game id #167377? Should this have ended in a draw, or do i have to offer a draw or resign? They are the only two options when i view the game...

I agree, once the screen is raised the game counts. I would say Dark Chess is similar, once a move is made by each player the game counts. Maybe this is a good rule for all games?

short games are not counted, am I right ?
but that's not okay for (crazy) screen chess.
you might remember our first game Fencer -
a high poker, but completed correctly ...

so it indeed should count regardless of the amount of moves ...

now I'm just getting a mate in two, after a crazy screen chess setup ...

it should not be idle playing well, you know ... :D ... ~*~

Yes, i have asked if the tournament winner could be indicated when it is mathematically proven. Fencer told me that he would not implement something like that until it was tested very thoroughly, and that was the last i heard of it.

It is getting quite tiring hearing about this on boards like these! Complain to Fencer about it, not us... With regards to your posts, every single one of your posts have been well beyond the line of what I would call deletable, as they contain multiple insults and do not pertain to the board you are posting in!

If you have something to complain about, it would be better to do it in the BrainKing.com DB if you can't get the complaints heard on the appropriate board (i.e. Tournaments or GothicChess). In any the case, stooping to even lower levels than the person you are comlaining about is going to do nothing but cause you to be ignored!

Maybe I should ask for a real feature request here and that is the ability to hide postings from certain individuals that I don't want to read!

On the other hand, why should I add better support for pawns? Nothing of the restrictions you've described would apply to them if they upgrade their membership. Which is exactly what I want.

1.) If maximum players per section is set to five(5) then everyone assumes pawns only need four(4) games available yet they get the boot if they don't have five(5) games available (unless it's been "fixed").
2.) If a pawn has finshed all games in an ongoing tournament, and cannot advance, he must make special request to enter new tournament (unless it's been "fixed").
These are very frustrating for tournament creators and participants. Can these items be corrected?

Subject: Win | Loss | Draw | Abandon
Not sure if this can be incorported, but maybe (particularly with the site database going down ... sorry Fencer but it has happened) a fourth option could be implimented where a game can be abandoned with agreement of both parties. This would not be counted for games played or for BKR but would allow for a resolution of games such as Battleboats where positions are discovered only to be reset to an earlier position and there is no way for players to remember what they played (I find chess is a little easier to remember but have still made mistakes in this too).

For tournament games the game would be restarted.
