Useless Bravery
J. M. Vargas
When He is alone,
He has enough bravery
To equal an army's.
But when He is with Her,
All the bravery yields to cowardice.
He hides his true feelings
Behind facade hidden behind facade,
When He is with Her.
Why hide your true feelings?
He does not know the answer.
Why the facades? This He knows:
To hide an easily scarred
And punctured heart.
He thinks his feelings
Are his weaknes:
His Achilles Heel.
How unfortunate, He doesn't understand.
His feelings can be his strength.
When She leaves Him,
A part of Him is torn apart.
Yet He does nothing
To ease his pain.
And in the end,
When Hs is alone,
All his bravery is useless.
Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man's ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho! the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
Thou dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remember'd not.
Heigh-ho! sing heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho! the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Poem lyrics of Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind by Shakespeare.
What makes the Sufi? Purity of heart;
Not the patched mantle and the lust perverse
Of those vile earth-bound men who steal his name.
He in all dregs discerns the essence pure:
In hardship ease, in tribulation joy.
The phantom sentries, who with batons drawn
Guard Beauty's place-gate and curtained bower,
Give way before him, unafraid he passes,
And showing the King's arrow, enters in.
Tiger, The
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And, when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? What the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water`d heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?
Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
In the sincere hope that Blake does not leap out of his grave and sue Brainking
Hey my rhymes are not offensive! They come from tha streets you know...me and my bros.
Street power...this ain't offensive it's raw it's in tha veins,do ya know what I mean?
Her face flinches with pain
as she cuts her own skin
At least the cut on her arm
dulls the turmoil within
She cant recall when
the agony got this bad
She cant even remember
when she started this fad
They dont realize
the anguish she holds inside
They cant seem to help her
no matter how hard they've tried
Pretty soon she'll reach the ledge
pretty soon, she'll fall over the edge.
The ship rocks
and I start to lose my grip
it dips and dives into the sea
and I start to slip
The raging water slaps my face
and I fall within the waves
I may die,but I'll die with grace.

At the center of the web
Sits a widow spider
Always dressed in black
With a splash of red -
(It’s slendering, you know);
Shirt cut low
With cups pulled high
And a shake-n-bake tan.
Always a fresh manicure,
Pedicure and waxed brows
From the afternoon spa.
“Hey there!” She sings
In her cheerleader voice
With forced giggle
And playful flirtings -
That have the effect
(On enlightened ones)
Of fingernails on a chalkboard.
And every conversation
(With the layers peeled off)
Only chants, “Me.”
Another tiny butterfly is stopped
By the sticky strands.
“Aren’t you a nice little thing,”
The spider seduces…
“How lucky I am to have you…”
She repeats,
As the appreciative butterfly,
Caught up in conversation
Doesn’t notice
The nurturing spider
Spinning her tighter and tighter
Into her burial gauze.
As she sucks the blood
From her innocent guest
She doesn’t notice
Or care
That the life force is damaged
And the butterfly is fading away,
Because she feels the vibration
Of other visitors
And is busy figuring out
How to make this look innocent
As she calls out to the next,
“Hey there!...”
wayney: Be that as it may, this is a privately owned site and the owner says no posting of other's works. Case closed. If you wish to voice your opinion on the matter, might I suggest you bring it up with Fencer.
I dont think ever in the history of the internet have any charges been laid for posting lyrics to song or poem on a non-profit site such as this. (non profit in this case refers to no profit from the posting of said lyrics)
It simply doesnt happen and to beleive it does is simply paranoid
wayney: When the lyrics are your own original works then you are fine! When those are of other authors you cannot post them, as stated above and are as such site rules :-)
alanback: Of course. Most people learned it in high school Freshman English. The Vampire by Kipling is a little less well known but also an awesome poem.
A message to you in pain,
Don't worry, it's not in vain.
It's all getting you where you will be,
Really your already there... see.
So forget about all your quick fixes,
Alchemy is no good unless you know the mixes,
that will come if you listen quietly,
A soft voice, no words but nicely,
giving love that is without doubt,
unconditional.. Isn't that worth a shout?
Countless billions glowing out there,
Thanks for the vision, I know you don't mind that I share :)
But not in the future is that moment,
The trembling is now, as I see the carrot,
shown me at a time before,
knock knock at heavens door.
After now having faced the abyss,
I am finding the answers that give me bliss.
Not some pedestal high in the sky,
but on rock, grounded, is that clouds? My oh My.
Hello my brother,
long time no see.
The end of time is what I mean,
no more that delusional dream.
No more up and down going around,
being in place knowing thy ground.
No more endless unrelenting time,
an eternity that more then fine.
Shall I bring forth the end of the world,
Is now ok, Mmmm what's it called?
Wanna know something that is extremely gay,
Something to celebrate each and every day.
That you do live in the world of souls,
Yes, even those that live like moles.
Cos while some may act like the devil incarnate,
They have a place.. even a name plate :)
So why don't we all go there today,
Open your eye and look that way.
See the light both here and there,
Hear the song that fills the air.
All are singing in different voices,
but listen to all in one voice rejoices.
Why hope? When it is better to know,
Not doubting, but seeing the Glow.
Knowing no matter what life my bring,
Your gonna fly with one great grin.
Brings a kinda duality knowing what is and what will be,
Not just one at a time but both, together you see.
The path and the end,
The End. :)
Hope takes seed in an honest heart
On wings of love it makes its start
Not faithless, doubting, bitter...no
Even in darkness, it does glow
So wrapt in joy, with Spring so rife
This hope becomes thy fount of Life
"Yes", it says...to an honest heart
Is it good to remain silent, to not say how you feel.
Supression you know, is a bum deal.
It eats and builds in the quiet of your mind,
one day it'll strike you, often from behind.
So say what you feel regardless of whether people like it,
You'll feel better, you'll feel relief, a hit :)
It's good to be honest,
Lying is just like one great big unexploded hornets nest.
Tick tock,
Tick tock.
Funny how things go
Rare - not so
Intimate at times - but truth
Eloborate within the circle
Nobody wish to see broken
Daily though, immeasurably hurt
Sometime, someplace, somewhere...
I'm so glad you came into my life,
I've never been happier before-
Each and every day,my love
I love you more and more.
The way you make me feel inside,
the way you show me you care-
The past holds no candle to you,
It doesn't even compare.
Your gentle words,your gentle touch,
Oh,it feels so right-
It feels like heaven,Im flying so high,
Can't wait to hold you tight.
And when I do,I'll never let you go
I'm gonna keep on loving you
and let my passion flow.
You are my everything,my love,my life-
This comes straight from my heart...Your future loving wife.
I stand between the dark and the light,
for me this is not a fight.
Just my sacrifice while I'm here,
To know, to see, to make clear.
I remember you know,
I can even see a glow.
But that's just normal for me,
nothing special to see.
Do you remember the code?
What that can handle the load?
lol It's a trick you see,
but I can't tell thee.
It wouldn't be fair
to leave you stumbling in the air.
