Los Alamos Chess

This is a simple Chess variant, created in the middle of the 20th century for the first systems which were capable of playing Chess. It is played on a 6x6 chessboard with all classic Chess pieces except bishops. All standard Chess rules are applied with the following exceptions:

• Pawns cannot make a double-step initial move.
• There is no castling.
• There is no en-passant capture.
