Mélusine: too much problem putting up pics...have a restriction on putting up pics - been there for about 4 years....I cant be bothered with this site and its hassles ....sorry....Will be on facebook tho :)
this is to ALL the poeple I am playing games against.....I am going to be going on a 15 night cruise starting on the 26th May and returning on the 10th June...We are sailing the pacific islands...Fiji, Tonga and Rarotonga (Cook Islands)...I have no idea what internet is available on some of those islands as they dont have electricity on some and use generators for power....I havent used ANY of my holiday days so unless there is restrictions on the games I probably wont be playing for over 2 weeks :) Sorry and thanks :)
moistfinger: You can not delete an account, as this site using all games played in the archive in ratings and standing and such, so to delete accounts just start to mess with the database.
As others said, if you can't just not visit, then change the password to something forgettable, and then you shouldn't be able to get back on.
ThunderGr: In what way am I, I quote, "accusing the site for your own weaknesse". I have not asked for you advice nor do I want it and will certainly not meditate on my 'weaknesses'; we have all some of those and you won't hear me ask you to meditate on you weak spelling and grammar .
moistfinger: yes it can be addictive but i cant see how a turnbased site where you can play only 20 games at a time can be a serious problem.unless you spend hours on the site waiting for others to move. I can waste far more time playing one real time game than i do on brainking and turn base allows a quick in and out unlike real time. At least no money is involved here unlike some gambling sites so it is only time that is wasted.
Aganju: Yes I have games to play but I also make time to read the discussion boards and sometimes post. Everyone can post is what it says to the right of this page.
I'm really getting tired of the whining. Write letters to your politicians if you think someone needs to become more active; they actually owe you something.
moistfinger: Hmmm...accusing the site for your own weaknesses...I can guarantee you that, even if you were allowed to close your account, you would just come back and create a new one. It is not the site's fault, it is yours.
My advice: Meditate on your weaknesses. Either strengthen your resolve and eliminate them or learn to live with them without accusing others for them.
moistfinger: Select a password such as JtteiLhhgslz455655GhsdpmKhPfdQS. copy to a text editor because you need to type it twice. Go to settings, change your password and log out. delete the edited text. Been nice knowing you.
Playing online games is extremely addictive. I want to give up playing here but the fact I can't close my account prevents me from making a clean break and I keep coming back for more games. Why are we not allowed to actually delete our Brainking account?
ThunderGr: For goodness sake you people really make a mountain of a mole hill. The first part of your message made no sense to me. Maybe Fencer should take a leaf out of Pat Chu from IYT book and close all the discussions boards. For all we know he could have personal crisis that is preventing him posting a message.
crosseyed: Indeed. Trump may have read The Col's comment and he is now trying to get Fencer's certificate ready in order to get him to be his VP.
I can only imagine the amount of non-stop work this would require that Fencer would be absolutely unable to find 5 minutes to post an announcement he, himself, said he would 6 days ago.
A totally justified reason to absolutely ignore a bunch of people waiting to see the owner's thoughts on the future of their favorite gaming site.
Gabriel Almeida: but can you trust in those things? think of all the wars that are allowed to go on? would he want that? ...not really a subject for this board but felt something had to be said.
happyjuggler0: No problem. You just fake a birth certificate. Obama did it xD!
Also, sorry for not help laughing when I hear the word "immigrant" when it refers to people going to the US. As if those of non-American decent(e.g European, African, Asian etc) born there are "natives" somehow :p.
badgerboy78: dont know but IS it big...cant be too important or it would be up by now...anyway he hasn't made a post about "BrainKing info" since.26th Dec 2013...**shrug**
Gabriel Almeida: Hey, I was just thinking about posting some kind of announcement. But I am not at home now and it is not easy to type long posts on iPad, so I will do it tonight or tomorrow.
rabbitoid: Yes but how many of those tournaments do not get filled up? The more common games may fill up but there are many tournaments that do not fill up and with the dwindling paying member base, fewer can play in these tournaments as they do not have the space to play or they are involved in another tournament. I think Gabriel has got it right.
Gabriel Almeida: I think this site will be still be here in years to come. Fencer has put too much money, time and effort into this site for it to fail now.
well, it seems clear for me that this site is in a big crisis, do you agree? Lots of people leaving or not renewing. What can be done? Fencer your opinion is needed. If the option is to let it die, we must understand , but if not, something should be done to involve people again.
