Temo: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
I could say with the same "success" that PayPal is the slowest money processing site in the world and all other sites of this kind are operating at a light speed, and it would be just the same nonsense.
The thing is, if paypal is the slowest, at least it is always the slowest all the time, and the same every time it is used and the same for every user.
But you have yet to address the reason Brainking seems to be so inconsistent between uses by the same user? Why are some days "normal" and other days with "problems"? Why is it different for Brainking than for other sites that all appear to be at least consistently good or poor?

Czuch: when you figure out how to respond to the blog can you let me know, I tried the same thing have an account etc, and still couldn't respond and I would like to,
Temo: Re: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
beach: Hell, these third party products make me really annoyed sometimes. The sooner I create my own blog system the better (because it would be easy to integrate it with BrainKing user names and passwords).
Temo: Re: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
beach: Okay, I think fencer is correct, I dont remember anything being said when I created an account, but I just checked my email and there was a link to make the account active, that must be the problem, except, since I already made my post here, I havent tried it again!
Temo: Re: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
Czuch: well I tried and still couldn't clicked on the link activated the account and it tells me I cannot post, guess you aren't allowed to discuss this problem anywhere now
Temo: Re: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
beach: No, there is obviously something not being done correctly. (Not surprising, as it can be a bit confusing). I just posted a comment on the blog just fine. To reply to a post, scroll further down on the page to the log in. (There is an area that at a quick glance looks like the log in, but it isn't. I recommend scrolling ALL the way down, and gradually scrolling up. You will then see the appropriate log in area.) Once you log in, you will then see the "reply" links. When the blog first came about, I had a hard time, and found I was trying to log in to the wrong area. Give it a try.
rod03801: I just went and had a look. The "User Self Registration" is the part that CAN be confused as the log in area. It isn't. The correct log in area, is just below the area that lists recent "comments". (On the right hand side of the page.) You will see "User Self Registration".. then "Comments", (with a list of.. um.. about 15 recent comments to different blog entries), then "Powered by Serendipity", then "Author Log in"

beach: yes me as well.....ages ago now before the crap of this place being so darned slow........but then it is probably because we are all now "rattlebrained" another beauty, with words of wisdom from the mouth hisself.

Czuch: But you have yet to address the reason Brainking seems to be so inconsistent between uses by the same user? Why are some days "normal" and other days with "problems"? Why is it different for Brainking than for other sites that all appear to be at least consistently good or poor? The theory about problems in the connection between the user and the server is consistent with this symptoms - one hour you can be directed through a quick, less congestioned route; other times you can b routed through half way accross the world before getting to the destination. The internet can be very unstable sometimes...
All this recent talk about BrainKing.info just made me think about one thing though - if the problem is indeed in the route between the user and the server, then I guess people also have problems with the BrainKing.info site? I mean, the pages can be 2-4 times smaller than the regular BK.com pages but for the people complaining about the pages taking over 30sec to load I'm sure they'll notice some slowness too... If, on the other hand, BK.info pages take only a couple of seconds to load, then other alternate theories should be considered... And anyway, it's an alternative to test for people that say they don't know of other sites in Czech Republic to test from...
(For the record, I think that this is the most likelly theory... but it doesn't mean it shouldn't be proved somehow)

The problem is, that if that were the reason for problems here, it would not be a unique problem just for this site alone, would it?
I dont hear one person saying the problems they find here are similar to what they are finding at other sites?
The only reason I can think of is perhaps this is the only very commonly used web site that hails from the Czech Republic, and perhaps if we were all using another site from Czechoslovakia, we would find similar inconsistencies that we see now?
Temo: Re: Anyway, i copied my message from there and here it is, sorry, really!
Czuch: The problem is, that if that were the reason for problems here, it would not be a unique problem just for this site alone, would it? It depends on where the problem lies... if it's a problem closer to the server, then you may only notice it on a few sites (those at the same host that BK.com, for instance). Why only some people complain about it is what I think doesn't fit into this theory, not the fact that itonly affects one site.
The only reason I can think of is perhaps this is the only very commonly used web site that hails from the Czech Republic, and perhaps if we were all using another site from Czechoslovakia, we would find similar inconsistencies that we see now? Which is why I suggest people check to see BK.info when they have problems with BK.com. They're hosted on different machines (I think) and at the same provider... if people only have problems with BK.com then I'll start supporting the "server problem theory" again.
P.S: Czechoslovakia hasn't existed over a decade now
