It's like when Rosie said that radical Christianity is as bad as radical Islam. Sure. We have radical Christians blowing themselves up in the market place and slicing off people's heads (on camera and posting them on the net) and declaring "Jihad" against the US.
Tuesday: No, not true. But when you make a stupid statement, calling it that is just calling it what it is. I didn't call anyone a moron or stupid (except Rosie is a moron). But only when she talks politics. When she's just doing her normal talk show stuff she's tops.
Temo: Those in America who most oppose Muslim theocracies, would probably be very happy if the USA was a Judeo/Christian theocracy
Where is the proof in a statement like this? Where is there a supporting argument? It's just a statement on the same level as claiming that chocolate ice cream tastes best. A worthless opinion based on a priori assumptions.
"But everyone is entitled to his/her opinion."
ok...and in my opinion, that is a dumb thing to say.
The ED show (far left) Crooks and Liars (far left) Media matters (far left)
You'll have to do better than that Jim. BTW, Crooks and Liars describes the owners of the web site and in Media matters the correct name is "Biased Media Matters"
After sixteen weeks on the air, MSNBC’s EdShow is on life support. Instead of growing, its ratings have gone down. In fact, they’re lower than those of David Schuster, who was booted from the time slot to make room for Schultz.
The reason for the low ratings is because people see through this show know Ed for what he really is: a boring blowhard with a shrill presentation but no substance.
here are some of his more idiotic comments:
I must be wrong. I think the country is sick of Dick Cheney. And I think because there is a psycho, right-wing network out there called Fox News that constantly gives this guy a platform, constantly allows him to put the conservatives on the offensive and the Obama administration on the defensive, some common sense has to come into this at one time or another. Let me just officially say that this is a fact -- Dick Cheney is an all-American nobody. He has no power.
Yeah, if Cheney is a nobody why is Eddie talking about him in the first place? Cheney draws a large listening audience. Not bad for a nobody.
here's more babbling from Eddie:
Cheney is nothing but a selfish pig. And for him to do what he's doing to the elected president of the United States goes beyond the pale, to use one of his favorite sayings. It is official -- Dick Cheney wants this country to get hit. He wants another terrorist attack for political gain. They want to bury liberals the same way they want to bury the terrorists. They want complete global control is what they want. Control of oil, control of resources, control of the economy, the list goes on and on, the control of the school systems, everything! That's what they want.
And the only way that you can get any of that is if you have conflict. And since we're not in a war, we have to set the table for a war. And the way you set the table for a war is to vilify the leader of the free world, which is the president of the United States, the commander in chief, who has already made an executive decision on how to deal with pirates and terrorists on the open seas. They have to hit back.
***Hey Eddie, we're in two wars in case you forgot!
More Eddie verbal vomit:
You see, they hate Social Security. They hate Medicare. It's own your own retirement, own your own Medicare, own your own health care, own your own education, because this is just the best way to do it. They're not American. They are not American. But I guess my question to our wonderful listeners here on the Ed show today is, is Dick Cheney relevant? Yes or no?! And tell me why. So is this the way it's going to be, that the Darth Vader, he's going to come out and stick his head out from that hole he lives in, about every 60 days and do another interview to capture the news cycle for another 24 hours and we've got conflict conversation in the country again?
The guy's a loser! He shot somebody in the face! He doesn't know what the hell he's doing! He's a turncoat, on the American people! Dick Cheney wants you to get hit again for political gain, that's what he wants. I'm convinced of that.

Jim Dandy: "George W. Bush himself, with the full weight of his office (and, I’d add, at some political risk to himself) was without stint in proclaiming Islam a “religion of peace.” He even went to a Washington mosque to underline solidarity with American Muslims and their peaceful co-religionists all over the world." Yeah GW!
and
"It is an almost boundlessly tolerant city and society — New York and America. But we must make a note on this point: A tolerance is being, and has been, shown, toward Islam, which Islam emphatically does not show to other creeds in regions or countries where Islam is predominant. In some Muslim places, a mere Bible in a suitcase is an indictable offence."
I might add it can (and often does) get you killed.
This is definitely worth reading. The author offers a unique and well-thought perspective on the issue of the "ground zero" mosque.
Artful Dodger: I support his opinion that if the mosque is built, it should contain both tributes to those who were killed, and those who both risked their lives and or died trying to save them. There should also be(as he mentions) condemnation of those who executed the event. It's apparently going to be a big building, finding room shouldn't be an issue.
Jim Dandy: those were excellent points. one does have to wonder why the Muslim organizers continue to peruse the building of the mosque considering the huge criticism that's been coming their way.
Jim Dandy: Maybe the very fact that they are building it three blocks from Ground Zero, and amidst such opposition, shows they are a bit insensitive to the matter.
Artful Dodger: It is legit for you to call to task sources which you feel have a liberal bias. That's part of debate. But, its funny Art. When liberals call your extreme conservative sources to task, you summarily dismiss them as not considering your idea of "legitimate arguments".
Artful Dodger: The Mosque was already at its site before the angry responses from the right about it being expanded. In addition there are other Mosque which have been close to the Twin Towers before 9/11. Should we tear all of them? There are also "adult entertainment" establishments close to ground zero which don't exactly honor the memory of 9/11 victims.
The only arguments against this building seems to center around the prejudice that any Muslim establishment near ground zero is evil because radical muslims were responsible for the attack. Thus, all muslims should be lumped into the same category. As you pointed out, W visited mosques to eliminate prejudice against all American Muslims. If the mosques had a history of supporting terrorist activity, it would be one thing. But, I haven't heard of any such activity.
Temo: Re: The only arguments against this building seems to center around the prejudice that any Muslim establishment near ground zero is evil because radical muslims were responsible for the attack.
Ferris Bueller: This is a completely false statement.
Temo: Ferris says: "The Mosque was already at its site before the angry responses from the right about it being expanded. "
But Ferris, it's NOT just the Right. (told you that you are uninformed)
Even Democrats Oppose Ground Zero Mosque 8/11/10 at 4:49 PM 61Comments According to a new CNN poll, 68 percent of Americans nationwide oppose the mosque being built two blocks from ground zero, which is why President Obama will probably not choose to make this his latest "teachable moment." Even a majority of Democrats — the ones who are supposed to be the politically correct terrorist apologists — are opposed (54 percent against it to 43 percent for it). It's worth noting that another poll shows that, among those literally closest to the issue, the mosque has wider support: Manhattanites back the mosque 53 percent to 31 percent.
"Extreme right wing"Fox news poll 61% of Americans say the muslims have a right to build the mosque 64% say that it is the wrong thing to do 'insensitive"
Temo: this is why you shouldn't trust the morons at MSNBC
MSNBC: Obama 'Did the Right Thing' With 'Non-Controversial' Mosque Remark by Matthew Balan On Monday's Morning Joe, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski went out of their way to defend President Obama's Friday statement defending the planned mosque near Ground Zero in New York City. Brzezinski cooed that the President "did the right thing by saying what he said" and Scarborough labeled the remark "uncontroversial" and later stated the controversy over the mosque was a "wedge issue"
Ferris Bueller: Here you ONLY point to the Right: "The Mosque was already at its site before the angry responses from the right about it being expanded." but I have CLEARLY shown that the Left and the Middle also object to the Mosque.
