I think the leaving the site was a "chucking the dummy" scenario, didnt get what he wanted when he wanted it.
I think the game would do better if he was still here, but he threatened to leave before, but came back anyways.

As Dano says , its a pubity rights thing "I got bigger and better than you so do as I say" sort of thing
