Do think upon that night before,
After which shone then, something more,
Now and again, a difference in time,
Oscillates to and fro, from side to side,
Same as before, but different, too,
Comes now north by northeast,
Having a different hue.
Each time around, the cold orb shines,
Killing the cycles, and dreams of mine,
I look up, closed eyes upon it,
Staring at the sky, dark and backlit,
Asking questions, still and deep,
But promises are ending
Unspoken, not for keeps.
