Finally got my comp back on-line now. Had to un-install everything from Nortons just to get MSN to work. I'm wondering why Norton firewalled MSN even after I rebooted the whole comp? I'm using McAfee Security at the moment & the comp is actually going alot faster than before. I tried using firefox 1 time & it was running extremely slow then. IE seems to me to work better

MagicDragon: Well, Norton is known to eat up every bit of resources you give to it. I never heard of anyone that really was happy with Norton - just causing trouble all the time. Great that you got rid of it ;)

Nirvana: Thank you! But why would I need that in addition to, say McAfee? And I just went to their website... again why would I need their "deluxe" package if I also have AdAware? And I would assume I can read well enough to take care of my own spam email, etc? Sigh, all this high tech stuff for such a simple brain like mine....

Binabik: a link and why would u ask if not want to hear?even if u don't use it maybe another would read and it would help them.if you got one that works 4 u and asking what it is, ok 2, others it may help. nothing was said that u had another that u were using,english a great thing when explained.
