How's everyones garden doing? Ours is coming along ok but were still about a week behind.I got grapes on my vines and had to spray them,the beetles were chewing away at the leaves.

nobleheart: One section of my yard is full of mint and spreads like crazy.I love the smell of it.Seems the more we mow it down the more we get.

Foxy Lady:That sounds just like a mint we have . It's called catmint and after it's mowed it smells nice for quite a while, and it is a little bit invasive.

ginger ice cream = yum. i discovered it at a great local sushi place. Japanese phenomenon, evidently. and most yum.

there is a place in chinatown here..serves lychee nut ice cream.
also on st.clair,in the italian community..a place that makes fresh gelato in flavours:
cinnammon,hazelnut,chestnut,fig,ginger,pistacio..and many more.

Mousetrap: I have a real bad slug problem too. Home Depot has a slug bait that isnt harmful to the environment you might wnat to try. Little pellets that they eat and it kills them ( I think it expands too much once in them) Anywho, I have/had about 200 sunflowers in my back garden and only half way survive. Must be slugs favourite food

Rose: LOL! Good job they are not meat eaters! I userally just put salt down, that shivals them up and they keep away from it but they beat me to it and me lettuce had only been out one day! Greedy things!

Foxy Lady: We've tried beer here a few times but there isn't enough beer cuz there are wayyyy too many slugs. After it rains if you go in the backyard all you see are hundreds of slugs coming up for air.. It is so gross
