I agree with that BBW, what i dont agree with is Cheaters being allowed to moderate on the board for the game that they were cheating at!! And by all accounts STILL cheating!!
NOT only does the renowned cheater aka Checkers Moderator have an acclaimed moderating position (which in itself is sickening) but he also has full BAN/HIDE facilities?? Come on Fencer you are having a laugh right?
but pawns as pawns can't join a fellowship in the first place.. so that wouldn't happen.. it would be a case of allowing them to stay, rather than 'allowing them in'
I disagree, because then a bifg boss could allow pawns in and therefore enjoy paid membership priveledges for free.
That is not fair on anyone now is it?
Currently if a pawn is in a fellowship (because of membership gone), I was thinking that they could not read the Fellowship discussion board - and really the only thing was they they could enter a fellowship tournament if they had room... but I'm not sure.
Yes, I agree they should be removed from the fellowships they belong to. (But that would stink if say your membership is late by a couple of days, and then you have to re-join all the fellowship you were just removed from. Maybe they should be left in the list, but make sure they can't read the boards or join the tournaments.)
ALSO, in BK2.0, the BIG BOSS will be able to remove any user they want - so maybe it would be better to just let the BIG BOSS do that type of cleaning?
of course they should be removed.
That is a benefit that should be paid for and how Fencer keeps his money flowing in enabling him toi maintain/improve the site allowing for a better excperience for all users.
I viscious circle but in a twisted waty it really means "kick out the pawns and make the place better for everyone, including them"
Again yes in BK 1.0. Maybe all pawns in fellowships should automatically be removed from them after all they do get a reminder about there memberships expiring.
Well 'dream' (Big Boss) of The Dream Team has not been here since June 2003, yet the fellowship is still there. Most people have left it now, but there are a few left.
Maybe the Members of a fellowship should vote on what should happen.
In dream's case she did state she was leaving, but no one offered to take the Fellowship over and she did not nominate anyone.
So i would say, mark the fellowship is "inactive" until new Big Boss candidate appears, and would have to be appointed by you Fencer.
thankyou for the reply fencer.. so for example, if a big boss rook has become a pawn due to not renewing, is he still the big boss ? are they still able to 'run' that fellowship ?
I wasn't suggesting anything should happen, I was just curious :o)
I would think a pawn should automatically be ejected from the fellowship (not a right as a non paying member to be in any fellowships) and then the next in line rook should take over.
The rank should be set automatically by join date of the fellowship (ie longest serving rook is the next in line) however, this rank structure should be able to be changed by the Big Boss so that he.she can control who gets the reins when they get omitted
Nothing at this version happens.
What should happen? Delete the whole fellowship? Set "big boss" status to another fellowship member automatically? Mark the fellowship is "inactive" until new Big Boss candidate appears?
Brian and Chatty...i 100% support your opinion. Im so tired of all this childish name changing.
Suppose this should be at "feature requests" but:
1. Is there a way to make name changes impossible?
2. If anyone must change his/her name, have them pay a fee of $ 10-20 each time they change.
