ThunderGr: I know I freaked out when I first started playing here and the Go Moku pieces were Xs and 0s and I was like the w..t..f..is this? lol Then, I eventually was able to change the pieces to normal ones. Game boards vary with each site so you have to find what works best for you.

JerNYC: I found it. Thank you. It appears that it will change the background color of all games boards, though. I would like to know for certain if it will work, though, because if it doesn't, I will have to resign the game. It is totally unplayable for me. Perhaps the shogi board should have another default square color. How can anyone play it like that?

Hi all! Is it only me that thinks it is a chore to play Shogi here with this "white pieces over white squares" board on this site? I like shogi but I find it very difficult to play it here. Is there any way someone can change square colors on the board, at least?

This is what has inspired the creator of backgammon  and what design has invested in the construction. ....
At the core of the game is put the time : That 's a tray - symbolizes the unity of the year. Four corners of the box - a symbol of the four seasons . Opposite 2 x 6 compartments inside the panel - are actually 12 months a year. The sum of all pieces of 30 - as is the average number of days in one month. The color of the pieces - black and white , represent day and night. And opposite 2 x 12 units - are 24 hours a day.

I'm wondering what prevents someone from being ranked in a game. For example, I noticed that Tenuki, who has excellent ratings in pretty much every game, is ranked in very few of them.

According to me is not possible in any event to create bug appears and igra4ka be recorded . since Igra4ka is one of the organizers of the Bulgarian discussion site probably enjoys some advantages , that knows the program code of system.Friendship is friendship , but the cheese is money / Bulgarian proverb / .As is so eager to play in tournaments to pay like everyone.Interesting why not respect the organizers of the Bulgarian company and website on brazen respect to all registrants in BrainKing.
I suggest that the organizers of the Bulgarian discussion site to change and reprogram the system with more safeguards to no such problems in the future.

Fencer: Hi Fencer
We have also the issue in Crowded- and Cloning-Backgammon. The additional or cloned pieces aren't counted for a gammon if still outside at the end of the game. It means i got 2 points instead of 3 or 5 for a gammon. BK makes a difference if the pieces outside are catched or cloned/additional... Do you have a possibility to fix that?

Hmmm, it's really sad (but not too surprising) to see that some people will always try to exploit the system. Very well, it can be fixed this way:

1) A user cannot have more than, say, 100 tournaments in the "open" section of the Tournaments page. Do you want to create more? OK but wait until some of your tournaments start.

2) If a user membership expires, tournaments created by them (in the "open" status) will be automatically deleted, except the prize ones with prizes already provided.

3) Regarding the single eliminations tourneys, that might be a bug because pawns should not be allowed to sign up for another tournament if they are already playing (or signed up) another one. But the code is really old (8 years?) so I am not sure about that. I'll look at it.

Anything else? Sorry, I am totally consumed by other projects so I could easily miss other issues mentioned in this conversation.

beach: "Now the tourney section is a joke, you cannot find any tournaments and they stay on the list for 30 days after they start. "

Actually you can find new tournaments still, you just have to be a bit more creative in your search terms than before.

Every day when I log in (when I remember anyway!) I now visit the tournament page, and then modify the "Created in last" to 2 days (I am not sure what it means by 1 day or 2 days...is it the last 24 hours for a day, or the last Czech time zone day. Therefore I pick 2 days).

The list is usually(!) very short, and I never have to scroll to see what else is out there....

There may be a bug then. I know in regular tournaments it will kick them out, but single elimination tournaments were created after the "normal" tournament, so possible that pawn/free game "check" isn't there.

that's the same thing that AlterMann did before he became a pawn he created 365 tournaments !! Now the tourney section is a joke,  you cannot find any tournaments and they stay on the list for 30 days after they start.  This way they never have to buy a membership don't really think its fair to those that do

Sujet: Re: Privileges pawn!!!!!!!
Emerald00671: As the tournament starts, the system checks to see the status of the player & should kick him out of the tournament since he will not have enough free game slots left.

Since he signed up for the tournament while he was a member, it will still show him in there - in case he does get a membership before the tournament starts, it will still start as normal.

One of the "bonus" of being a member is you can continue to play in all games/tournaments already started when your membership goes away, but NEW tournaments should not start.
