I think you are correct, Mike UK. If there is no man on the bar, the count appears to be correct.

The problem is always when there is a man on the bar - he seems to be counted twice giving a count 25 too high.

Sujet: Re: Counting squares remaining in BG
Well, what I do is count the number of dice pips, needed to bear off a stone. So black has three stones on 3; therefore, a count of 9. Every stone on the bar I count as 25; and that's basically it. Would welcome other BG players to comment.

Fencer, please would you tell us how you calculate remaining squares. For example, in game 24026 (tonyh v MadMonkey), after move 14 pass, I reckon that Black's total = 105. Your total is 130.

How does it choose what the next game u move on is ?? Mine seems to be which ever one has been waiting the longest. Is there any way to set it so it follows how our main list is set e.g. the shortest time next. :-)

I haven't played Dark Chess on this site, but what i've found with the notes is that they appear underneath the game board, and if you type in new notes, it adds them beneath the old notes (doesn't replace)

i typed a message to my opponent..in the right box...asking about her family...we are playing checkers.
She replied with " oh yes that was a stupid move"..when I checked to see what she was answering to there was a "?" i didnt type that.
Is this site so clever it can query an opponents move??????

Sujet: Let's pose this Question differently
I played an opponent close to my level or ( BkR let's say) and got 30 points upon winning. This was a normal game. So, had it been a 5 games match or wins or points,I would have gotten only 30 points for playing all 5 games versus playing normal games with the same opponent and getting 150???

Sujet: Re: 5 wins match, 5 points match, 5 games match .. question :)
Yes. A 5 wins match keeps starting games until someone wins 5 of them.

leaving the earthly things with open mouth

Colors in the darkest sky

NIGHTFALL (August 25th, 2001 - Strand "Zuid" - NL)

I recall
no sweet night as this one
sitting on the beach
and feeling the sultry wind
around my shoulders
through my hair (as if it were your fingers)
O, fair
fair young night
looking inside
your door, what brings thy dream
all for what it seem
and for what I believe
is a sudden feeling of quietness, relieve
and a relaxing sigh
after the rocking waves asked "why"..
and the red of the sun
slowly fades away
towards another day
on the other side of the world.

Hi Radiant, a 5 win match means that you are the winner after winning 5 matches, in a 5 point match you can also be te winner with 4 wins and 2 draws. In a 5 games match you are the winner if you have 3 points or more

To anybody who might know the answer: what is the difference?? I keep reading the explanation which is added to these variations, but it still feels like they are all giving the same results.. I am sorry, perhaps I am asking a stupid question, but I am not a native English. Thanks!

An easy solution would be click on move and go to main page.Scroll through the games and pick exactly the game or order you wish to play in. Not as quick but works. I do it when my sister plays cause she thinks I'm slow...:(

Nikki: The system sorts your games by the last move date and time when you use Move and Next. It would be a big performance overload if I calculate the real order using vacations, days off etc. like on the main page. I can do it later when we upgrade our hardware ;-)

Sujet: Concerning, move on next game button
Fencer Fencer, my dear Fencer; I have a query for you. Ok, after I move on a game, and I click the'go to next game' button, it takes me to a game often halfway down my list. Why? How does the system decide what game is next?
Also, would it be possible, to have an option to make the "next game" the one following the one you just moved on? That way, if one so chooses, the ones with the least time can be moved on as such. Thank you :):)

Please go to the website of the search engine: www.google.com Then type in any title of a song you want to find. Hopefully it will come up with several websites related with that what you are looking for. I haven´t checked it myself, but the google site I find VERY useful for all sorts of search requests :-)

GoodLuck and let me know what you found!

One way of fixing this "no explanation of a decline" is for Fencer to make the message part of the decline compulsory. That way you can be rude, if you wish to and decline by just putting an "X".
I have been declined a few times, with no explanation and assume it is because I'm such a lousy player LOL...Hey!!! who really gives a hoot :)
