Five fellowships participating in the first team tourney still don't have a flag. The table would look nicer with them :-)

Flags: Maybe if teams don't supply their own flags, we could make a few "quick" flags - that is images with just the fellowship name (in a fancy font).

Five-in-line tournament: I also think 8 is a lot, but it's good to try. As I understand it, someday us BIG BOSSES and/or captains will be able to create our own - so at that time, we could have all kinds of fun.

Fencer, I have a temporary flag for A Power House now. Do you have size limitations?

LongJohn.
Do you know that statement about Derek to be true?
If not, I think you should remove your post.
Give Derek a chance at least, or are you going to frighten off every pawn that dares post?

Derek is NOT purple. He is a teenager just learning games on the internet. I happen to have played with him and know his exact age and he definitely has not mastered the game Five in Line as yet. He wants a paid membership but his parents feel the money could be spent elsewhere at this time. Help explain the boost a pawn program and stop thinking in those lines.

musiclover: thanks for that.

Brainking is not going to grow if every pawn that posts is going to be accused of being Purple.
Please guys, think before you post. We want more members - we don't need prospecrive members being chased away.

Steve: ROFL!! What is 'going madmonkey'? Do I want to know? :o)

Would someone explain what purple means please?

20. Juillet 2004, 22:10:48

Purple is the color generated by mixing red and blue :-)

Purple is a user here with a bad past with a history of multiply accounts. (ChiefKM if you remember back that far.)

Fencer...My team (Sunshine Club) has 8 members now, but i still get the message that i dont have enough members..why?

Andersp: Pawns [tasselhof] cannot play team tournaments and Knights [Sarah1980] can play only one tourney - she is currently playing the first one in backgammon.

Four teams are signed up for five-in-line team tournament. Very good :-)

is there an explanation anywhere as to how the team tournaments work , if there was (use five in line as an example) 8 players and only 4 teams how many games would i play in total ?

21. Juillet 2004, 10:51:48
Fencer
Jason: The number of games per one player is the same as for normal tournament. It means that with 4 teams and two games with switched colours, everybody will play 6 tournament games.

21. Juillet 2004, 10:55:34
Jason
ty fencer ,so every body plays only one person from every team there . what happens when two teams score the same number of wins (how would a winner be determined) ?
sorry for the questions but team events are totally new to me .

21. Juillet 2004, 10:59:08
Fencer
Jason: If two teams end with the same points, the one with better score is the winner.

Spider Line4?

That one would be good!
Can a person join more than one team tourney as long as it isn't the same game?

21. Juillet 2004, 15:46:37

Yes if it's a Brain Rook or higher.

Thanks for the reply Fencer!

Spider Line4 would be good. So would Battleboats Plus.

Amazons would be good (for me), but their are still many people trying to learn the game and turn out for that team tournament would probable be low (which I would wait awhile before having an Amazons team tournament) - But if you did make one, I would be sure to play! :-)

21. Juillet 2004, 16:26:56
Fencer
Okay, let's try Spider Line4.

21. Juillet 2004, 17:14:18

That's a good one..maybe Dark Battleboats or Battleboats Plus could be next???

21. Juillet 2004, 17:16:23

Sounds like a good Polls question - "What team tournament would you like to see next?"

21. Juillet 2004, 17:39:07
grenv
Why not set up a bunch of them and see which ones get filled?

21. Juillet 2004, 17:43:46
grenv
By the way is it true knights can only play one team tournament? This seems a little restrictive and contrary to the rules as stated.

I would interpret the rules to mean that knights can play in more than one team tournament if the game types are different.

Relaxing this constraint would get more teams into the tournaments I think.

21. Juillet 2004, 17:44:49
Fencer
Contrary to what rules? Team tournaments are new to this site, they have nothing to do with normal tournaments.

21. Juillet 2004, 17:49:08
grenv
The player is limited by max. 50 started games at once and 20 vacation days per year, can make unlimited number of moves per day, can join only one tournament of each kind of game, can become a member of BrainKing fellowships, can participate in Brain Knight referral program (see Brains page).

21. Juillet 2004, 17:49:41
grenv
As I said, it was only my interpretation.

21. Juillet 2004, 17:52:50

Tournament. Not team tournament. I will have to update that page.
