(If someone now has 1525 or something close I usually let them stay - but if it's like 1700, then they are gone.)

However if that tournament starts weeks later, and that player has moved to 2000, they will still be included. It's up to the creator of the tournament to remove anyone from the tournament before it starts if they are over 1500.

If the rounds at IYT go for a bit, and someone asks the owner there to end the tournament instead of starting new rounds, it is done. But perhaps we can close the book on IYT now.
The bottom line is that ties are ok, if a game, match, or tournament is played to a tie, but not when the tying players never face each other.
