Simply said, an SB-Value is often pure humbug in small groups, Much better to
take the direct encounter as first choice - if just two are level, the one who won
the game between them, should rank higher (for that time) - beyond any doubt. ~*~
Also when I right click on a link and select "open in new window" with I.E 6.0 (like I always do), it seems like my cookie isn't staying with the new window, as the new window opens in guest mode. This just started today. It's not happening with Firefox, only IE. Any suggestions? Did Fencer change something?
I just started in the middle of the pack. Adequate success pushes quickly skyward but crafty opponent has spanner in the works. Timing out on everyone else, he returns to make good our struggle. Now he is -400 points so I face only peril. There is now no possible reward. Ahhh, but I consume the small speck of flavor and my digestive services are restored.
ScarletRose - When BK2.0 came out, the "personal notes" field was gone - well you had to click a link to leave personal notes about a game. Made it a little harder to leave personal notes, which I do - but was cool because it saved room on the screen so the game board & Submit buttons where on the same screen (without having to scroll down). Now I've just noticed that the personal notes field is back.
I'm playing my games trying to figure out what is different - it was really cool, i could play my game and the "submit" button would be near the bottom (of my big screen at work) - now I have to scroll down to hit submit.
I finally figured what is slowng me down - the "notes" box is back on the page!
As an added suggestion, i would love to see the 2 submit boxes ABOVE the notes boxes - something where the submit boxes are on the same screen as the play box that way you don't have to scroll down.
OR even better, how about an option that the submit boxes be ABOVE the game board, top of the page? I mean I've already made my move, I would rarely need to look at the board again - well in a few chess games and such to make sure I'm not beat too fast. But the submit buttons above the game board would be cool. (While making the moves, everything is cool where it is now.) (And again, just an option for people - not something that needs to be changed for everyone since I'm sure others would not like this idea.)

upon publication of personal details that do NOT pertain to yourself, IMMEDIATE expulsion.
I've noticed this for awhile - when I go into the Ratings link, and click on "(show provisional BKR too)" - Battleboats Plus does not show up on the list for me.
ok Fencer.
However it would be good to point out that if Bernice was so touchy, why did she feel free to hurl around abuse initially without thought of repercussion? She seemed to think it was fine to dribble about me taking meds and stuff like that and if you notice, she always seems to be the instigator.
Bottom line, if she just learned to keep her mouth shut and leave other people alone, then she wouldnt get anything back. There are always repercussions for things we do in this world.
Dont stir the pot and it wont stir back if you know what I mean and I think everyone noticed Bernices constant slanders of me. Shame shame shame.
I notice that LongJohn has deleted his post completely from tyhis board instead of it just having a *EDITED* on the message.
Thank you to all who had my personal details deleted from here, and as has been said on the Gen Chat board, it is in the hands of the Townsville Police :(
It is a sorry day when a person cannot play games for the sicko's that haunt the internet.
I would warn all on here to beware of LongJohn, and Im sorry Harley, but I do think this is in the interest of the BrainKing.com board.
I would also add that the address that he has and has posted on here is NOT my address :) the local phone book has that address and it has been wrong for the 15 years I have lived here :) hehehehe...thankfully I get my bills sent to a Post Office Box.
Argomento: The all time most active daily player's list
Is there something wrong with this list? Antje, had 706 moves yesterday. That is good enough for fiftyith place, but is not listed on the all time list. Antje also has a day with 1555 moves on it. Are you only allowed one listing? That doesn't make much sense. Each season's record should count individually. Babe Ruth had 60 homeruns one year. He also had a year with 59, and another year with 54. Until his record of 60 was broken in 1961, he had the top listing in the American for all three of those years. In the complete major leagues (This would be including the Natiional League) it was listed this way at the end of the 1961 season.
HR Player--------League
61 Roger Maris --American
60 Babe Ruth ----American
59 Babe Ruth ----American
56 Hack Wilson --National
54 Babe Ruth ----American
My point in this is those other years when players repeated leading the league were still good years and are listed in the record books. Shouldn't the same be the case here on BrainKing? Or maybe a second chart listing that includes the best daily listings of anyone for that day and allow them to have their name repeated if they qualify for it.
As an aside. The homerun record of Roger Maris stood for 37 more years until 1998 and has been broken a few times since by Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Barry Bonds.
yes, let me see here: ughaibu has played 300 games of loop, and the top guy has played 4. I think anyone can fluke out in a small sample size, which is one of the reasons I play these games for fun rather than ratings. My 1000 rating in Line4 should be ample evidence of that! I still think GothicInventor's rating is justified, because his sample size extends far beyond the realm of only a BKR.
Well, he won all his games so far, so that is evidence that he is a stronger player than any of his 4 opponents, who had quite high ratings. There is no evidence yet that any of those 4 (or any other player) is stronger than him.
Redsales is correct about provisional ratings often being nonsense, there was recently a new tablut player who after four games had lost three with me and won one with an unrated player, this was enough to occupy second highest rated position.
