Stevie: As this is an international site people should be aware that some words don't travel the Atlantic well. Words that are taboo in the UK are acceptable in the US and vice versa. Ideally all these words should be best avoided. The English language is rich and you don't have to use vulgar words or colloquialisms.
The way these words are used and in what context also go towards the moderating decision. Most, if not all, public board moderators are aware of the variations in meaning of different words and act accordingly.
There are many ways of asking someone to 'go away'. Unfortunately, the variation you chose was unacceptable.
The bottom line is, be nice or don't post.
I also think if this subject is to be pursued further then it would be wise to take it to an appropriate fellowship or privately, away from public boards.
ScarletRose: Sorry, Scarlet. It must have been a 'Fuddian slip' My computer has 'R' and 'W' on the same keyboard. Now that's just asking for twouble in my book.
On-topic advertising of other sites is allowed but with moderation. Posting links everywhere constitutes spamming and will not be allowed.
It's up to the moderator of a board to decide if the posts are relevent or not but, saying that, the 10x8 board is the obvious place for Gothic Chess and any on-topic links (within reason).
As ScarletWose pointed out, if you don't like them use the 'hide' feature.
MadMonkey: I agree with you.
I'd buy an extra week or so. I was in Argentina much longer than originally intended and used up a huge chunk of my allocation. Something similar is bound to crop up during this year.
How about it, Fencer, old chap? It'll mean more money!
A huge 'THANK YOU' to everyone that sent their good wishes to panda, myself and our new baby girls.
As you can appreciate, I don't have enough time to reply to everyone individually at the moment - so I hope this reaches everyone.
Thanks, guys, it means a lot and I'll convey all your sentiments to Krista and the girls - Cristyn, Bethan and Siân. All are doing extremely well and will be home, hopefully, around the middle of January.
Necessity, they say, is the mother of invention so I'm going to drape saddlebags over the computer monitor and deposit 1 girl in each bag and have the other in one arm - leaving one free hand for the mouse.

4 days? Where from? I've had internal mail take longer than that!
Don't quote me on this, but I imagine as soon as a customer services rep receives payment they contact Fencer and the account is activated then - before the money reaches Fencer.
